| Re: DCPSR: Final 53 Projection Nice writeup. I agree we go with 10 OL instead of 5 Backs and its more likely that if we did keep 5 backs, we could keep FB Eddie Williams over any of Aldridge, Dorsey, or Mason. However, if we keep 10 OL, i think the 10th will be a cut from another team who can play tackle... like Tre Thomas from the Jags. I did notice one error though: Quote:

| Re: DCPSR: Final 53 Projection As much as I want to argue about his picks....I can't. I'm not sure what the coach's were looking for, or what they want. I have my favorite picks and they all looked bad last night except Mitchell. Tryon has looked bad for 3 games now and last night he finally looked ok. I have been touting cutting Westbrook cause for 3 yrs he has not gotten off the practice squad and others like Tryon have come in and stayed on the roster, but he's looked good the last 2-3 games. I have wanted the team to cut Collins and then watch a performance like last night where Colt and Chase simply didn't shine. Maybe it's cause it's the 2nd stringers blocking for them. Honestly, I think if any one player went down our back ups would fill in and do an admirable job, but put too many of the back ups in and I see us having problems. |

I know people want to crusify Alridge for his fumble but I can't. If you look at it he caught the ball and decided to run left. As he was moving the ball from his right side to his left side away from the tackler his elbow or arm got hit with the helmet or shoulder pads of the tackler causing the ball to pop out. Yes he should have just tucked it and held on with both hands but he was actually doing what he was trained to do which is move the ball away from the tackler and take the hit. It was just bad timing.

| Re: DCPSR: Final 53 Projection Yeah he probably shouldn't have. I'm not making excuses for these guys but I'm sure they know they only have a limited amount of plays to make the team so they sometimes make bad decisions by trying to showcase their skills (Colt). I'm not sure they understand that sometimes they're hurting themselves by not making the smart, safe play.

It was bad no doubt. Thankfully it doesn't count against our season. Now the coach's know that he's not 100% reliable although he showed well in a previous game so who knows. He looked good on the pass from Chase in the 4th quarter in the 2min drill. Changed directions and still out ran two defenders to pick up 20-30 yrds.

| Re: DCPSR: Final 53 Projection So it looks like the roster breakout will reportedly be QB: 3 TE: 3 WR: 5 OL: 9 RB/FB: 5 DB: 9 DL: 8 LB: 8 Not really sure how they plan on counting guys like Orakpo and Wilson (DE or LB?) K: 1 P: 1 LS: 1

Just like political candidates, players come across differently in interviews & can give you a sharp, however hasty, opinion of them. Watching colt & daniel in back to back interviews left me liking Daniel a lot more. Colt spoke decently, but sounds more fraternity boy than pro qb. Daniel is more reserved & humble, but sounds more professional & aware of his rookie status. I got a good impression of him & as a qb he seems like a poor man's flutie, a dude that lacks height but isn't concerned w/stats & style points, just does what he needs to win. Colt on the other hand, kinda has me torn. He shows potential & athleticism, but seems immature both as a player & person. A little bit self absorbed for an nfl qb. I think keeping Colt makes more sense, but at the same time I fear he may not have Daniel's staying power. Daniel seems like a guy that will do whatever it takes to make a team & eventually start.

| Re: DCPSR: Final 53 Projection I think Colt's definitely been humbled this summer. He really let a lot of people at Redskins Park down. The expectation was that he would come in and challenge for the #2 spot. He had the attitude, but couldn't back it up.

| Re: DCPSR: Final 53 Projection but do you think he's let them down enough, combined w/Daniel's play, that he'll be on the PS or cut? |
