You think one of the problems on offense is simply their mindset? | |

I think their mindset of "it's okay if we come away with three" is a problem. Not as bad as the execution in the red zone has been, but that's a luck factor to an extent. Why can we run between the 20's and not in the red zone? Doesn't make any sense. I'd also like to see us avoid the 1st and goal situations altogether sometimes. Got second and 6 at the 14? Throw the thing in the end zone.

| Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Rams) Bottom line is if anyone is happy with this offense, they need to get their head examined. I dont care how many long drives, what JC completion percentage is, what Zorn is calling, blah blah blah ect...This was against argueably the worse team in the league and we couldnt score. To win in this league we need to get the ball in the end zone. Just check our division. Sh*t even the Eagles were putting the ball in the end zone with a pretty bad QB today. Everybody is responsible. In my opinion the offense hasnt score a legitimate touchdown so far. Zorn should give up the play calling if this crap doesnt change in the next couple games. |

| Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Rams) My bigger problem in the red zone than the plays is the personnel packages that Zorn is using. On several occasions inside the 10, Zorn took Kelly out of the game. You have got to be kidding. Kelly is only our biggest target, and supposedly has the best hands on the team. He should NEVER be out of the game when we're inside the opponent's 10. |

More concerning is that of the 'cupcakes' we have ahead on our schedule, each one of them (Detroit-13, Bucs-20, Panthers-20, Chiefs-10) all outscored us today. Instead of them being the marks on our schedule, we just became marks on theirs! I'm expecting an ugly Halloween season around the Zorn household. The 'bye' week may have a dual meaning.

| Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Rams) If you put in Kelly, Thomas, Mitchell and Cooley in a 4 WR spread don't you think that may open up some running lanes as well as passing opportunities?!? Nah, let's go 4 TE and run the stretch!
