| Re: Doughty to start over Horton Reed has always been cut from the classic Skins mold -- unheralded, hard working guy who isn't spectacular but quietly gives it 110% and gets the job done. Plus, given his personal struggles with his kid, how can you not root for the guy? I've been rooting for the dude since he got here. He's probably not "the answer" but I don't see how solid, workmanlike commitment to fundamentals can be bad for a team in dire need of cohesion and performance.

| Re: Doughty to start over Horton He definitely deserves the starting job. Ironically I think he also might make Landry better as Landry has played his best football playing with Doughty.

| Re: Doughty to start over Horton doughty did good today and horton played well too. hortons too good to be on the bench...my solution: why don't we play a 4-2-5 Defense with Orakpo Griffin Haynesworth and Carter/Jarmon on the DL Rocky and London at LB and Hall Rogers Doughty Horton and Landry in the Secondary. And we could have horton play like a polamalu and move him around all over the field, like he could line up next to the LB's or stay back and roam in the secondary or act as a blitzer next to the DL. |

| Re: Doughty to start over Horton Yeah Doughty did a great job against one of the best teams and Qb in the NFL. I believe Josh Johnson was starting his first NFL game and the Bucs are terrible. 16-13 to the Bucs is not good. |

I am talking about false hope. We should not be measuring ourselves against the Bucs, Lions or Rams games. They are the three worst teams in the NFL. We should beat these teams. More than by three points. Oh wait you are one of those 'a win is a win' guys. Regardless of how well we play. I will be the first one to proclaim Doughty the second coming of Ronnie Lott if he continues to play well and plays well against the big teams (Steelers, Giants, Saints etc.). Yes, Doughty had a good game against a very weak team that is starting a QB that has very little experience. Wtf are you talking about? | |

That being said, even if we squeak by with a 4-2, I can see teams like the Iggles and the Cowpukes thinking that we're an easy win and underestimate us.

| Re: Doughty to start over Horton Just a note, but the last defensive play Doughty and Reed were on the field not landry.
