Hopefully Snyder reads this column, because it captures exactly what we the fans have been spouting over for years. His ego is the root of the problem. Fire Vinny, and bring in a respected, up and coming football executive to build this team the right way. I've been a huge admirer of the Philly way. They always seem to have 10 draft picks every year, and they build quality depth on both lines. The one year that Snyder had 10 draft picks, he selects 3 receivers in the 2nd round, and only ONE offensive lineman (Rinehart) out of 10 picks.

That's what i'm talking about. In business, you look up to persons who are successful in the business you are in. If you are in sales you model your business after those who are the best at what they do. You pick a mentor.

When you want to build a great football organization you look at teams that have a great organization such as Pitts, Balt, NYG, Indi. You hire people that come from those great organizations, like a Polian or his son.

We all have talked about this for years, but maybe DS will finally come around if it starts hurting his wallet.

My wife and I have some friends going to the Denver game. We were considering going but i asked her, Do you feel like spending 12 hours and $500+ to see 14 pts scored? We decided to go to a Caps game instead.

I'm just about to that point. The wife would be thrilled if I used my Sundays for a family outing or to address items on her honey-do list. When even the wins are unfulfilling, you have to question whether there is ANY value in watching this team. I believe that I'll follow your lead - thanks Matty.

Yeah! Just finished reading Wilbon and he was spot on, echoing what many have been saying for a long time now.

Rush, of course, wouldn't be the majority owner (I don't think) and technically I don't think the Rams are even officially for sale. All that said though, if the NFL can keep Howard Milstein from owning the Redskins I don't see how they couldn't keep Rush away from the Rams

I haven't watched the Skins live (as in when it's on tv) on Sunday all year (save for the first quarter and a half of the Giants game). The rest of the season has been all "on-demand" after the fact. Gotta take advantage of the weather up here before it gets too cold to step outside. I'll watch the Monday night game against the Eagles live, other than that I don't see them fitting into my schedule. The times they are a changing

Watching games on TV (espically Fox) is not the greatest experience in the world anymore. They went fishing for much of the first half of Sunday's game.

This is where i've been this year. I mean, if they don't care enough to put a quality product on the field, i don't care enough to carve time out of my schedule to watch it. It's just a team playing just a sport. Ambivalence is what they should be fearing.

I am not judging anyone who is finding better use of their time then watching this terrible team. But I can't turn away...I have to see every second live. I don't know why either...if I tried to do something else I would just obsess about whats going on in the game. I don't agree with most of what they do...every other thing i write on here is about how much I can't stand Snyderatto yet I just can't stop watching.

you know I did the same thing for the bucs game- and I actually felt like I accomplished something with the day. Unfortunately I was back at the bar for the panthers game last sunday- can't seem to shake it, but its a start. Isn't there a site we could start? I had a buddy that started a fireisiah.com (isiah thomas) site a few years back- not sure it did any good, but...

There is already a poorly run "firevinny.com" or something like that...i don't know.

Im with matty here, think of it as having your sunday's (and mental health back).

Honestly though, even if they were 5-0 right now I'm not sure my approach would be much different. I have things to do with my life. I've been through the whole dedicate your entire weekend to the Redskins (more than many here), but like I said I've got things to do, places to be, people to see.

A lot of people are that way about watching car wrecks.

Re: is there a way that we the fans can be heard???

Herein lies the greatest, and one of the largest conglomerates of same-sayers found anywhere discussing the state of the Redskins organization. It behooves me how the "little man" can be sitting somewhere idly by, absorbing every word we print and continuing to stand by his conviction "If it ain't broke don't fix it" attitude.

It behooves me how for the better part of a decade he can watch his team become an exercise in futility, and not heed the advice from so many wisdom dwellers far superior in the knowledge of kingdom building. However, something tells me that despite his stubborness and seemingly unwillingness to adjust, there's no way he won't eventually adhere to the logic of his detractors and change his evil ways.

The deal is reportedly worth the unguaranteed portion of Albert Hanesworth's $100 million contract.

Snyder will likely be retaining Executive Vice President of Football Operations, Vinnie Cerrato, The 'Skins owner said the move simply "brings in another set of eyes."

Snyder recently placed a sort of gag order on Defensive Coordinator Greg Blache, something not neccessary with the potential new GM, as he only communicates via text, never verbally.

Snyder was also impressed that the GEICO representative, like himself, was made of money.

There is a possibility that, if hired the money stack could bring in his own crew, including the Geico Gecko to replace head coach Jim Zorn. Zorn denied the rumor, but did mention that he"always feels like somebody's watching me"

Dan Snyder revealed that an overriding factor in his decision to make this move was "the money he could be saving by switching to GEICO (employees)
I'll go you one better than that: Word is, that once the naming rights contract between Danny Boy and Federal Express expires, the stadium will be renamed Dyson Field - the logic being, there is no other NFL team that can better demonstrate the sucking power of their vacuum cleaners than our beloved 'Skins....
