Zorn cites the shoulder injury to Rinehart as a reason for making this choice, but something else is going on here. I'm sure the injury is factoring in, but it does not sound like something that the Redskins couldn't expect Rinehart to play through, and Rinehart has looked like the best player on film. So this is strange to say the least.

Is there a possible reason that Zorn would benefit from 2008's 3rd round pick not playing?

I think I can say now that next year the skin's won't rely on Rinehart being their starter at RG, cause he'll probably be cut since he keeps finding ways to get off the field, I doubt he has an injured shoulder, I bet its Vinny knowing that he's a bad draft pick, and wants it to look like he's injured as the excuse for why he isn't starting
