| lil bro (#86FD) showing his worth... all he wanted to do was contribute like he knew he could (opportunity) , when cooley comes back we'll have the best 1-2 TE punch hands down!!!! Last edited by freddavisbro86; 11-22-2009 at 04:49 PM. |

| Re: lil bro (#86FD) showing his worth... It's nice to see him taking advantage of the opportunity, with the way he's played you can't help but wonder why the coaches didn't get him on the field sooner. |

| I agree whole heartedly. I've been waiting for this kid to step up, he is one heck of an athlete. He and Cooley will make the best TE tandem for sure.

| Re: lil bro (#86FD) showing his worth... With what we've seen from Davis it also gives me some hope for Kelly and Thomas. I'm not sure they've really had the best opportunities to show what they can do. |

| Re: lil bro (#86FD) showing his worth... Im in the minority, but I say we ship off Cooley, beside he is the only Redskin that has any trade value. And we rebuild from there on. I am expecting a bunch of angry responds lol.

| Re: lil bro (#86FD) showing his worth... I agree it's alot about opportunity. I'd like to see Mitchell get his. They use to say the only one who could hold Jordan below 30 points was Dean Smith, sometimes I feel the same way about the coaching staff here.

If Fred Davis can score and pull off a win this week, I will rock a Fred Davis jersey to the chargers game!!!

| Re: lil bro (#86FD) showing his worth... I am with you, as long as we get good value. It would be foolish to trade Cooley for cheap. But if we could get, say, a very good offensive lineman out of the deal (and maybe more), and if Davis continues to step up, it could be the best move for the franchise. I'm not knocking Cooley here, just recognizing that a stud OT may have more value for the franchise than a stud TE.

| Re: lil bro (#86FD) showing his worth... If Cooley were traded there would be an uproar from the fans like you've never heard. It wouldn't make sense from a merchandizing standpoint either. He's the kind of player we need and as much as we need o-linemen I can't see it happening. He's a football player plain and simple.

| Re: lil bro (#86FD) showing his worth... I agree Randy, but to add to that, I think Hixon and the other staff have no clue how to develop a WR. How many Talented young recievers have come here and never developed? Jacobs comes to mind but There are a few more I'm sure.
