| Re: Portis to see concussion specialist portis is a lazy m-fer who only cares about money. If the doc said he can play, he should be out there. He doesn't love the game, he loves his money. I hope his Skins career is over. |

In his weekly radio appearance on ESPN 980, Portis said he can't return to action until he receives clearance from specialists at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, who first evaluated Portis on Nov. 20.

| Re: Portis to see concussion specialist Yeah, the league has a new policy that you have to visit an independent doctor outside of the NFL, and be cleared by both. |

| Re: Portis to see concussion specialist I hope he just stays out the rest of the year because besides the concussion, he still isn't playing like Cartwright, Mason or Ganther IMO. Don't know if it's because he's hurt or because he's just lot a step finally, but I'd like to keep him out, get him healthy and MAYBE keep him next year depending on how he looks in TC. |

But it's starting to look like Clinton Portis won't be returning this season.

| Re: Portis to see concussion specialist If I were the Skins I would just IR Portis at this point. There is no point in bringing him back this year. |

| Re: Portis to see concussion specialist i wouldnt believe anything that comes out of Portis' mouth. wait to hear it from an official redskins source before buying into his b.s. so if the doctor clears you, and you are sitting out "just to be safe". I dont buy it for a minute.

| Re: Portis to see concussion specialist The team Dr. cleared him, but he needs to be cleared from an outside source before he can return. That's what he is waiting on. |

| Re: Portis to see concussion specialist What don't you buy? It's league policy to have two doctors clear you? Have you ever had a concussion? Specifically, a football concussion? |
