Portis to see concussion specialist

^ At this point the season's done. Portis has other injuries besides his concussion. If I was in a position of authority (Portis little buddy, DS) I would tell Portis to go get the foot fixed or whatever was wrong with it and fix up whatever else was giving him problems and sit out the rest of the year and get healthy for next. I would advise him that next year is going to be different. All players will practice and all players will participate. If they don't participate they will be riding the bench. If they ride the bench for too long said player would be subject to getting traded if possible. Plus with an uncapped year possibly in the future it would be in his (Portis's) best interest to get healthy and be ready to take some punishment vs. avoiding playing cause he's affraid of getting hurt. If your that easily hurt it's time to hang up the cleats. We need players who will be actually practicing so the Offensive side of the ball are all on the same page with each other.

And if you don't practice, the crowd will chant for you to be gone. And we'll rent a pickup truck with signs on it saying "Fire CP!" LOL

Not sure if you just making fun or making fun of me....

but either way I like it. I'm just tired of the prima dona's on this team saying ..." I don't like preseason cause it's pointless", no it's not pointless. It's so all the players can get work "together" and the coach's can evaluate talent. Now if you suck or are starting to suck or are someone who is starting to get injured easily due to age...then you would not want to play in preseason. Instead of renting the P/U truck can we rent a U-Haul and pack his crap for him?

Agreed; especially if he does have to practice for a week before we play him. I don't see the point in keeping him active one bit.

I'm not sure what to think about this. Seeing how the season is going my gut tells me he's not rushing to get back on the field. But I think it's time for us to go in another direction. With the injuries to CP and Betts I think this proves that RB is the most replacable position in football.

If sellers can't go sunday and Portis can I don't bench the kids lol I put portis in at fullback yes fullback he can catch and i'm sure he can still block.

The NFL has been really active in looking at player concussions this year and holding players out of subsequent games after sustaining these concussions. It's good to see. I look at a lot of these old decrepit players and wonder if the money was really worth it.

No matter what he needs to be back next year.

AND WE NEED TO DRAFT A BEAST RB. PERIOD.

And a damn coach with a run philosophy and CP would be an excellent veteran fit with a beast Rookie we draft.

but thats just my opinion.
