| Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal He would have been team president with final say over personnel, so Cleveland must be giving him more money. I've thought Cleveland for a while, long before the job was even open, but once Seattle came into the picture that did seem to be the ideal fit for him. I still think Holmgren was a bit hurt that he actually had to interview with the Seahawks.

| Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal I would love for this to be a farce and the Redskins hire Holmgren as their HC.

| Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal I wasn't aware of this, but it's been pretty obvious the Redskins don't want to spend a month looking for a new head coach again Redskins Insider - Sources say Gray interviewed for Redskins' head-coaching job

| Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal ESPN reporting JZ is definately not coming back as Head Coach. I believe he will follow Holmgren where ever he goes, Zorn that is. Now as far as Mike Shanahan goes, I am going to say it is a lock. He will be our next head football coach.

| Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal I am stoked about the move as a whole. I am a little taken back that all of the info about who are next coach is and Zorn a dead man walking got into the media. The one thing I have to find comfort in is this is going to be a completly revamped football team by the end of January. I like that we will all be able to rest a little easier knowing our team is in the hands of competent people going forward. Brude Allen and Shanny in control. Putting in their pieces of who will run the offense, defense, and all the postion coaches. Then the staff can move forward and develop a plan as to how they will move forward with the team in player evaluations, scouting, and a RESTRUCTRING of our current roster. I do not know how they will do in the coming years, but I can be optomistic and hopeful for our future as a winning franchise. Bruce is a winner as a GM and we will have a coach with winning history. If Kyle comes in we could have an heir apparent as well bringing continuity to our franchise. The players in these few remaining games need to play hard, because they all get a chance to audition for the 2010 Washington Redskins. We have some pieces in place, we have FA, and we have the draft. They can rebuild some of this team quickly say 2 years to have a good deep team, and with the players we have in place we can win right away.

| Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal What I think is happening: The negotiation is on with Shanny! I think that Jerry Gray is positioning himself for D coordinator and Snyder is trying to pursuade Shanny into making that happen. These recent rumors of shanny to Dallas are his agents attempt to get more money or possibly shanny's push back to Snyder's wanting his defensive staff to stay in tact.

| Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal I don't know if this is really true, but according to Jay Glazer, he said that John Lynch was at the owners meetings and Jim Zorn was at the table with Dan Snyder and Snyder had Lynch come over and say to him "So tell me everything about Mike Shanahan, do you think he'd be a good head coach for him?" This was with Zorn sitting right next to him at the table. |
