| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot LOL. I hope PJ15 never even holds a clipboard for us.....but you never know with that COOOOOL visor and spandex in the summer he may just make it.

| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot Brennan was outplayed, but i feel that that was because of his well documented hip and hamstring injury....

| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot I think he will be given a fair shot to make the roster. #2 and 3 QB will be spots where Shanahans emphasis on competition and keeping the best player will be in full effect. However at this point my moneys on Grossman.

| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot I honestly would be surprised if Brennan gets cut. There are just way too many other needs to pick a QB before the 6th, unless there was a guy they were just in love with that somehow slipped from a third round prospect to the 5th or later. And since you got a good chance of putting most picks after the 6th on the practice squad without losing them to another team, so a late round "project" pick or UDFA would likely go there. I think there is a chance Brennan gets traded if the Shannys dont think he will ever be a starter for our team, but only if someone is willing to give us something which i dont think is too likely. I also dont think Brennan has a chance to overstep Rex unless McNabb goes down and Rex comes in and sucks it up. I dont think there is ever a big line between the 2nd and 3rd qb. Its just which one do you pay more, was once a starter ealier in his career, or may be marginally better is the 2nd. And the 3rd is the one that needs to be ready incase the 2nd turns out to suck it up or get hurt because hes not used to doing shit. Plus since McNabb is our QB for a few more years there is no immenant need to draft a 2nd, 3rd or 4th round QB right now, next year will be just as good. Although we are already missing out 3rd or 4th next year....

| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot The better question is, could JC if he stayed?...honestly I think it would be close. Colt is gone...

| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot I can tell you for one he has to stay healthy. Put some meat on his bones and weight lift a lot so he can take an NFL hit with out having another year of riding the bench. As I see both Grossman and Brennan I see gun slingers. They will have their occassional interception but will also be the types to fit balls where most QB would not chance it. But as most have said if he can stay healthy keep his nose in the play book and learn it inside and out maybe his youth keeps him on this team. I see Bartel as being gone and if we are stuck with JC cause we can't move him perhaps Colt is gone also. This might be his last year to be put on PS or maybe he can't all together. I don't know. |

| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot The big question I have is who gets number 5? Has the team given it to McNabb and Colt got screwed or will McNabb have to pay Colt for it or will McNabb want another number as a show of starting fresh in a new city? |

| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot I agree with you all the way up until you said Colt got out played. I too am a Chase fan and liked what he offered. I wish we kept him. I too think he would have surpassed Colt but last preseason I felt Colt did better then Collins also. He just can't stay healthy. Because of that issue I'm about ready to pass on him as well. |

| Re: Can Colt Brennan beat Rex Grossman for number 2 spot No. Rex has had at least a few good seasons but Colt Brennan is a risky shot in the dark. |
