LSU seems to have a problem producing players at the next level. Fortunately it seems to mainly be limited to guys who were looked at as 1st round picks. Right now Brady James is a pretty damn good inside linebacker for the Cowboys and he was picked......you guessed it, 4th round 103rd overall.

He looks good to me. He seems to be fast at getting to the ball carrier and he tackles with both arms. Would appear to have the potential as an all pro middle linebacker down the road if he uses time to study film and becomes a workout warrior and film room warrior. He looks like he has intensity. I like this pick a lot.

I like two things about him in this video. He hauls ass to the ball, and when he makes a stop, that's it. There's not lingering around talking trash, it's back to the line to do it again.

Will this guy be worth more to us than Bruce Campbell?? Got to believe that would've been a better pick. People have said that linebackers are easier to find. Two young offensive linemen would've been awesome..

Well, we did take two offensive linemen, actually 3. I think people will be surprised by Capers, but I don't have any link or amazing stat of proof, just that he has agility, and was a starting LT. He will make the transition to RT and be there for 10 years I hope.

I'm telling you Bruce Campbell has bust written all over him. He was an average player at Maryland. If not for the combine Campbell might have been a 6th or 7th rounder. If the front office thinks Riley was the better player then I have no problem with this pick.

I admit I wanted campbell too, but the more I've thought about it & listened to Kiper et al, I can see why so many teams passed on him. Sure, he has great athletic upside, but maybe he's just not much of a football player.

Remember how hyped some people here were for Robert McCune? That might be the same for Raiders nation w/Campbell.

I see no reason he couldn't wear #56. We have not had a good player wear it since Len Haus. It's overdue for some time in the spotlight.
