| Re: Jets will release Faneca Faneca has become a turnstile in pass pro, but is still a good run blocker. He would be great in the locker room, and would be good depth if the management wants him. |

| Re: Jets will release Faneca Like I said before though. Since this is reunion time for the Steelers (McFadden, Foote, ARE) I would fully expect the Steelers to pursue him again. If not them then the Bears seem more likely to pay him the type of money he's looking for.

| Re: Jets will release Faneca For the right price, it's a no brainer to sign faneca. We can ALWAYS use more OL depth. |

| Re: Jets will release Faneca We all know McNabb is a piece of glass, obviously we want the best protection for him, and I think getting someone like Faneca would be GREAT. We don't want to trust a bunch of rookies to protect McNabb.

| Re: Jets will release Faneca In our never-ending quest to win the 2004 NFC East, I feel Faneca would be an indispensable part of our efforts.

| Re: Jets will release Faneca I surprise Tony Washington did not get drafted at least in the 7 rd. I guess because of his past record and him having to register as a sex offender scared teams off. I think he was 18 and the girl was 16-17 yrs old and she had consentual sex with him. To all fools a minor can not have consentual sex because she is underage. So any ways maybe we can sign him as a UDF he deserves a 2nd chance in life its not like he is a child molester. He played at TCU OT.

| Re: Jets will release Faneca while i do think his skills are diminishing, he is still a better guard than anyone on the roster( other then Dockery)

| Re: Jets will release Faneca If shanahan thinks he is still a capable guard and better than what we have now, I have no problem bringing him in for two years while we continue rebuilding. |

| Re: Jets will release Faneca well, the fact that we drafted THREE offensive linemen means the Redskins are not desperate now. With the #4 pick as McNabbs bodyguard, then Dockery, and Rayback locked in as starters, the only questions are right guard and right tackle and Mike Williams or Hicks will be the right guard. So that only leaves one position open to possibility of question mark and that is right tackle. Most probably that gets filled with Heyer or Hicks eventually but ya never know. We may pick up a right tackle during the summer cuts, or trade for one in August. |
