| Re: Pinneapple Jesus vs. the new qb's brought in Actually this thread is not even talking about a back up, it's talking about a freaking 3rd stringer.

| Re: Pinneapple Jesus vs. the new qb's brought in I think it's more of being testy about "the QB of the future", than the backup.

| Re: Pinneapple Jesus vs. the new qb's brought in The Pinneapple Jesus crew should have been at FedEx Field on Saturday for the draft party. His replica jersey was in the tent sale for $11.

| Re: Pinneapple Jesus vs. the new qb's brought in Ok, I was gunna say with all the CB threads we had to open another but it seems others have beat that drum. So I'll take a serious side to this question: I like his chances. I think he might shine under the Shanahan's. My only concern will be his height compared to the other two QB's. Never mind. Just looked Austin is now the shorty. CB- 6-3 206 lbs Bartel- 6-3 233 lbs Austin- 5-10 165 lbs I have not seen Bartel play but Looking at Austin's play from college he looks pretty good also. I could see CB being the #3 if healthy and Austin making the PS. |

I'll just count myself as having a shortheimerz. I meant Daryll Clark. I looked at his high lights reel and he looked pretty good. But on a side note Austin looked good also. | |

| Re: Pinneapple Jesus vs. the new qb's brought in That would only apply if he was the second string QB. Most teams don't officially dress their 3rd string QB. Although I think they might be allowed to play if the first two QB's get hurt, but you can't put them in for clean up work. Don't hold me to that second part though.

I feel the need to clarify, I mean, people get testy about discussing "who will be the QB of the future"? Brennan has been a heated debate since his arrival in DC because of his "project status". Not being a 1st or 2nd round draft means that he was not annointed as the future QB, but his college records lend to his cult status of the "Sexy, Mysterious, Gunslinger who is ready to come flying off the pine, and blow away the enemy!! I don't think that he will rise up to be a probowler, but I sure would love to see it. It has been a long time since this team has had a great QB. I think having McNabb play in front of CB, that some of that professionalism may rub off a bit, maybe. If it doesn't? Well then, I don't really see much of a future with Mr Brennan and the NFL.
