| NFL ref admits mistakes in Super Bowl Very interesting story. Given the many fans Pittsburgh has, I wonder if this will become a big story or not. NFL referee admits he made game-altering mistakes in 2006 Super Bowl - ESPN

| Re: NFL ref admits mistakes in Super Bowl Worst officiated game I've ever seen...every bad call had a negative impact on the Hawks and their ability to win the game.

| Re: NFL ref admits mistakes in Super Bowl The game was rigged simple as that. You had a rather lackluster SB pairing with the Bus coming home to play in the SB the only half decent story going into the game. You couldn't get a better ending than what the NFL dished out that night. And don't give me that human error, guys make mistakes garbage. Those holding calls for the most part were non existent or rather weak. And it was more than two calls that were bad also. |

| Re: NFL ref admits mistakes in Super Bowl Skins have had their share of weak calls made against them vs the Cowboys, etc. To me the whole holding thing needs to be eliminated, unless a player is dragged down by his jersey and pass interference needs to go back to being a straight up 15 yards. The NFL uses the refs as controls anymore with regards to keeping the tempo of the game to help with the desired outcome. These calls are too subjective in that in some instances a player could get mugged with a non call then in the same game a guy can get pass intereference called on him for merely making incidental contact, like hips grazing each other, etc. The ref gets called an idiot, but keeps his job, and the league and bookies make their money. |

| Re: NFL ref admits mistakes in Super Bowl That was the year that Randle El spent just about all season catching touchdown passes after reverses and flea-flickers in Whisenhunt's offense. It happened against the 'Hawks in that game, and they should have seen it over and over in the game film. Anytime there was something screwy going on after the snap, the D should have swarmed ARE. In that sense, Bobby Engram was right. |

| Re: NFL ref admits mistakes in Super Bowl You can go to almost every big game in NFL history and find bad calls. Anyone remember the year of Phil Luckett? |
