Redskins Uniforms

OK if this is a useless thread my apologies and I realize I have been kind of a thread cop with aceinthehouse of late.

Last night I went out to Buffalo wild wings to watch the Vikes vs. Saints, the group we were with got into a conversation about the ugliest uniforms.

Most people were saying the Redskins and I was floored; I think our uniforms are pretty cool.

Do you guys hate our uniforms? Have you heard other folks say ours is ugly?

I even polled other tables and that seemed to be the case (hated our uniforms), I had on no redskins gear so it was not like they were trying to raze me.

I don't know why people would say our jerseys are ugly. Their pretty standard, nothing special about them. I rather like them, their old school.

I'm not a huge fan of our unis. Nothing wrong with them, imo, but I just don't particularly like them. That said, I don't know how many uniforms I actually like. I'd have to say that I think the Bills are by far the worst, though

I'm personally ready for a change to our helment, but I'm pretty cool with our unis. I'm just ready to get the Indian head off of the helment. I would rather have another symbol that is more threating. The Spear was cool, I don't know, the Indian head just sits there. His expression is not even intense.

The biggest negative comment I have heard about the unis is the "Condiment" colors.

I am on a board that deals with sports logos and uniforms. (Summo is there too)

They like to hate on the Skins' uniforms and name...I really think the over-sensitive PC crowd just hates anything Redskins because those white people are "offended" for Indians who aren't offended themselves. They're always trying to rename the team to the Warriors...or something even dumber.

People say we have outdated uniforms...but I think they're classic...that's why they're unchanged for a while. The color scheme looks GREAT. The striping is consistent (unlike the Giants) and there is no unnecessary/ugly piping like the new Vikings/Bills/Jags/many teams. Our colors match throughout unlike the Cowboys. Better yet, we have not gone the route of adding black for no reason, when it's not part of the team's color scheme, like the Eagles/Lions/Cardinals/49ers (who have removed it to their credit).

Since they added some metallic in the helmets for TV appeal, they look GREAT.

I wouldn't mind some gold pants or changing the yellow-gold to a true gold...but I think we have one of the best, classic yet great-looking uniform sets in the NFL.

Look at the modern crap being churned out by Reebok...the Vikings, Seahawks, Titans, Bills (WORST IN THE NFL), Giants, Jags (helmets are cool but unis are utter poop), Cardinals...be thankful we've stuck with tradition. If Nike ever gets the NFL uniform contract, may God have mercy on our eyes. Pro Combat = Colon Cleansing

Not your fault, but that '8' in your '28' avatar has some kind of eating disorder. It's way too skinny.

i love our uniforms it has tradition and the most unique colors in all of sports i do wish we would wear yellow pants

Yeah I agree, the sentiment I always have heard about our unis is the color. People dont like the B&G. I do, but most women especially do not.
