| Re: Graham Gano has to Go !! The kick he missed against the bears that went boink did not and would not have cost us the game and here's why If he makes the kick,we are up 6 and a td beats us anyways by 1 pt,if the bears score a TD. If the bears drive down the field and tie the game up 17 all..then we go into OT and THAT kick if he gets another shot in OT would decide the game. The only kick he missed that decided the game, was the Texans miss. Do you guys remember Suisham? Seattle ring a bell? Seattle again ring a bell? HE should have been cut immediately but was not...(under old administration) The kid doesn't even have a full 16 game season for evaluation...Lets ride this one out with the kid for now please!

| Re: Graham Gano has to Go !! 1. He kicks in a stadium where all kickers only average 67% FGP. 2. He missed a kick in Chicago where the wind swirls and its not like he was wide left, wide right or worse...short. 3. Ever since we left RFK we have not had a so called automatic guy, funny how we did cut This_guy and he went on to become one of the better kickers in the league. I am not going to place all the blame on Gano when most kickers suck when they play here.

| Re: Graham Gano has to Go !! It was all part of Gano's motivational techniques. He knew that if we were up by 6 our D would defend against a TD and would almost blow it (ie the dallas game), but if he missed and we were up by only three the D would play lights out and shut them down. All hail Graham Gano, master of motivitational misses!!! |

| Re: Graham Gano has to Go !! He is still better than the worst redskins kicker of all time, John Hall. John Hall was absolutley worse than Suishit or anybody else we ever had. Watching games in 2006, when you'd have a 30 yard attempt, you'd automatically know that Hall would blow it. He was that bad.

| Re: Graham Gano has to Go !! Hall had leg issues at the end that derailed him. I would take a healthy Hall over Suisham any day. |

| Re: Graham Gano has to Go !! Yeah, Hall was one of the better kickers in the league when we got him from the Jets. Also, a beast of a tackler. Like Matty said...his leg fell off when he wore our colors...and it was ugly to watch.

| Re: Graham Gano has to Go !! I'm late to this party but could it be the Center as well? Under the Red Snapper it seemed like all the balls were sent to the holder perfectly. This year I've seen more balls that look like they are skidding along the ground or sent a little high forcing the holder to get the ball down slightly late which throws off the kicker. |

Looking him up, he was signed to a 5 year contract in 2003. He was injured 4 times in 2004, once in 2005, and twice in 2006 and put on injured reserve, ending his career.

| Re: Graham Gano has to Go !! Jason Reid just posted this: Graham Gano is 31st in the NFL on field goals Redskins place kicker Graham Gano ranks only 31st in the league in field goals made, with a 72.2 percentage. He has converted all 13 of his point-after attempts. The strong-legged kicker has 50-plus-yard range on field-goal attempts, but he has struggled at times in his first full season in the NFL. in Week 2, Houston Coach Gary Kubiak successfully iced Gano in Washington's 30-27 loss in overtime at FedEx Field, calling a timeout before Gano missed a potential game-winning 52-yard kick. In the fourth quarter of Sunday's 17-14 victory over Chicago, Gano missed a 37-yard field-goal attempt that would have extended Washington's lead to six points, sending the ball off the left upright. Gano said he struck the ball well but the wind at Soldier Field didn't cooperate. "I think he said it best, that he probably wishes he played the wind a little bit more," Coach Mike Shanahan said. "The wind was blowing pretty consistently and it hit the upright. That is football. I got a lot of confidence in him." Gano is talented and he's a hard-working kid, special teams coordinator Danny Smith tells me. That's good enough for me. But despite having the support of Shanahan and Smith, Gano probably needs to finish the first half with a good performance against Detroit at Ford Field. With Washington beginning its bye week after that game, it would not be surprising, if Gano struggles against the Lions, to see a place-kicking tryout at Redskins Park during the team's time off.
