In latest court filing, Brady class counsel says it will file an opposition to plaintiffs' motion for immediate stay by noon on Friday.

does that mean that the 8th circuit won't say anything till tomorrow night? If so, definitely puts the kabash on any 1st round player trading (ie K Kolb) We still may have time to trade AH for mister irrelevant

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Nelson found the NFL in contempt right after the 1st pick of the draft.

I think it may be semantics. As I understand it, Rabach and Alexander were able to enter the facility and spoke with Bruce Allen among others but no they couldn't train until this whole issue is resolved. So, no they were turned away at Redskins Park, but there wasn't much they could do.

But I know the other day, Alexander (I think it was him) went to Redskin Park to ensure he gets his workout bonus as much as anything else. He wanted to show his face and prove he at least attempted to work out.

So, does this mean that Banks can return kicks?

(2010 rules in place, not the proposed new kickoff rule resulting in too many touchbacks?)

Does this apply to on-field rules or just CBA rules?

The owners are starting look foolish. How can they hold the 2011 draft and say the year has not started? Creatively stupid? The draft should be postponed. Can't trade veteran players in this draft and college players that do not get drafted are told to wait. If the Draft was not such a money making media circus the owners would not be so quick to force it through. The owners need to be careful.

After this fiasco, I just can't see how anyone could even sympathize with the owners. I think they are screwing up their own teams by not allowing free agency to happen. Well at least the winners of this will be the players in the draft who are going to have an inflated value because free agency didn't happen.

I would recommend following Schefter and Rich Campbell.

NFL will distribute to clubs, likely tomorrow, a "comprehensive set of procedures" governing transactions such as signings & trades.

Hopefully 2nd round picks and later picks may be able to be traded. If this is the case, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see Kolb, Orton, and McNabb traded by tomorrow morning.
