IMO, trying to use AH's body as a NT wasn't that stupid a choice. What made him fail at NT was his own self-perception. Cofield seems a few steps above AH in the "willingness to listen" department.

If the FO thinks he will fit I'm with it.

It wasn't necessarily a good idea. I just want to make sure the team is going to use Cofield to the best of his ability. You can have the best attitude in the world but if a player is being misused or put in the wrong scheme it won't matter (i.e. Carter playing as a 3-4 LB)

We need help along the line, so good signing. Big question is where does he play, NT or DE?

I think DE and get Cullen Jenkins to play NT and having Carriker play as the other DE.

Also since I was diggin around for Cofield info and tidbits, anybody remember this?

Sounds like he has 36 million reasons not to trash our fanbase now.
He'll be reminded.

Re: Report: Redskins Agree to Terms with Barry Cofield

I'm with Ruhskins. Although Cofield is a good player, I fear a square peg-round hole situation.

I hope I am wildly wrong.

Re: Report: Redskins Agree to Terms with Barry Cofield

So far I have been very pleased with the moves. A lot of budget-friendly signings and the loyalty shown to Santana to not drag things out has been nice, just like he asked. Only thing we need to do now is move Haynesworth and we've already had a successful off-season in my opinion.
