| Re: Just want to give Andre Carter props Andre Carter is a good man and player. HE is a great dude, and I wish him all the best. I hope he plays well for NE except for a game in December at FedEx.

| Re: Just want to give Andre Carter props Portis got ran into the ground in 2004, contributed as the only rushing threat during our playoff season in 2005, was injured for most of 2006 due to playing hard in the preseason (which is one of the things the haters have criticized him about on the boards), contributed again during our playoff season in 2007 (lets not underestimate the impact he had rushing the ball in the 4 consecutive games we won to make the playoffs when Todd Collins was at qb), still had an okay season in 2008 (despite the fact that it was obvious he wasn't the same back from years of wear and tear, and I also agree at this point we should've either sought an upgrade or another back to compliment him), and then from 2009-2010 was injured and/or ineffective. Rabach on the other hand played decent from about 2005-2007 (when he wasn't costing us games with extremely ill-timed penalties, cough SD cough cough), and was equally ineffective after that. And there's no way people can claim Rabach was better at his job than Portis was from 2005-2007. Portis' success directly ties into the offensive line's success, and even when the offensive line had success Rabach was usually pointed to as the weak link on the line. If you don't think I wasn't calling for an upgrade over Rabach during and/or after 2008, feel free to go browse through my posts from that time period. I'm sorry but there's no way people can consider Rabach had a better career over Portis from 2005-2008. |
