Grossman even saw the guy coming and still decided to carry the ball in one arm, on the inside hand. I learned when i was 7 to carry the ball in the outside arm.

Ps I also liked Hasletts punt block formation on 3rd and 21. WTF was that????
I have never seen that before in my life. They have Dez Bryant the guy is huge! You have coverage over the top and make someone else make the play. It was a fu**ing gift wrapped present. Then Hall has to facemask too. Worst loss I have seen in any sport in a long time.
Agreed. Grossman is always a turnover machine, that's why 29 other NFL teams passed on him during free agency. There is no Good Rex/Bad Rex. There is always Bad Rex and occasionally you get lucky with a decent game.

But that's the decision the people in charge have made. Disgraceful loss tonight. Despite Dallas making a dozen key mistakes and missing multiple key people, the Redskins still lose.

Oh but they'll somehow stumble past a bad St. Louis team like they did against Arizona, go into the bye 3-1 and everyone will start talking Super Bowl again.

Rex looks despondent at the PC. Makes me feel better, not sure why. McNabb would be all smiles.

The penalties on kick/punt returns though has been a glaring problem for the past 2 seasons though. I feel like every time we get a good return.. which is already few and far between.. it gets called back.
Rocca...Jacks the ball. He gets a pass.

It's a trend? Another guy on ES actually did research on D. Smith's special teams and had the numbers/facts to prove his point about the special teams. Needless to say, it wasn't good.

In reality we basically have 2 WR's that are possesion WR's and a deep threat at TE who got locked down tonight.

I'm not being a douche bag, i'm being a realist, but you calling for the backup QB when we are 2-1 is just being a dumb shit, and that's my opinion..
Calling for Beck in this situation is not being a dumb shit. Here's reality, we're probably not making the playoffs this year and if we do and play a quality team we'll get bounced. We know who Rex is, he's a streaky player who makes too many mistakes. He doesn't make the right reads and get the ball out under pressure on a consistent basis.

We don't know who Beck is. Did he crap himself in the TB game, yes. IMO that's why Rex is starting. We need to see if Beck can be anything, if he can, we've solved our QB problem. If not we're in the same situation in the off-season as we are now....still needing a legit starting QB.

People can say Beck is garbage, but we don't know. He won't be any worse than Grossman has been.

I also felt we just got tired and winded in the second half. We seemed pretty crisp in the first, handled their pass rush -- but there was a meltdown late -- just didn't seem to have the same intensity.

and then ESPN cuts back to Steve Young busting his balls, saying he looks like a little kid.

so, uh, how long before Witten and Romo go ahead and get married, forming the basis for "Brokeback Mountain 2?"

I think they should have ran more screen passes to counter the blitzes. I saw nothing really special from the play calling. Haslett did do a good job for the most part tonight, his one mistake came at the worst possible moment.
What was he thinking? That's easy. He was thinking that they haven't blocked it all day.

Was it a bad call? I think it probably was. Did the play fail because of the call? Hardly. Romo could have bought time just as easily against a four man rush.

We don't disguise nearly as well as the Steelers, but we clearly have the talent that they do on defense. That ability to confuse the QB is worth a lot. We won a lot of small battles with Romo tonight, but when push came to shove in the 4th, he had Haslett's number for sure. But that's what Romo does.

Well if some guy on ES said it, then it must be true

Seriously though, what sort of trend is there that shows this is Smith's fault?

Dallas played like they were trying to throw the game. If this is a tough game, we are in deep trouble.

Re: Redskins vs Cowboys Gameday Thread

We got exposed by a really bad Dallas team. At least, Dallas will get smoked by the Lions next week.

This could be the game that sends us down Suck for Luck Street. Its a must-win game for the Rams next week. We could be in big trouble. Why are we so bad in the red zone?
