| The Sky is NOT Falling! OK I totally agree with most that this was a tough loss to stomach, a REALLY tough one. We have to step back and realize that this team is still a work in progress. This was a brutal NFC East game that played down to the wire and they made 1 or 2 plays more than we did. Time to put this one behind us, keep working on the little things (like holding a snap on a field goal and sticking with the run late in the 4th quarter). Wipe this from memory and move on to St. Louis. Remember, most of us here have this a 7-9 or 8-8 team when the season started. As Coach Denny Green said, "We are who we though we were". I am encouraged by the nucleus of this team and they are on the right track. A win next week to be 3-1 at the bye will be huge and put us in good position going into October and November. This is not the same old Redskins we have seen the past 10-15 years. They are a much improved team that is still putting it all together and they will be in every game. The SKY IS NOT FALLING!

| Re: The Sky is NOT Falling! i dont think anyone is saying the sky is falling. I think most are pissed at a missed opportunity against a division foe, who on offense, was just pathetic. We caught the Cowgurls at the perfect time, with the lead in the 4th and found a way to lose. I think this thread more appropriate if we went in there and got killed.

| Re: The Sky is NOT Falling! I'm disappointed that we let a very winnable game slip away, but big picture I still like the team and the direction we're heading in. |

| Re: The Sky is NOT Falling! If people think the sky is falling than chances are they aren't looking at this team closely. This was a tough loss against a division rival at their home. This game should have been in the bag. It's astounding they had 7 fumbles and we only recovered 1. What is the luck that those balls bounce in the air for Romo to snag it. Also that 3rd and 21 was the dagger.

| Re: The Sky is NOT Falling! We just gave away a win to our most hated opponent and division rival. If this game is nothing more than a bad loss to any team in the league then go ahead and pretend it's not a big deal. For me, This game will matter more than any other game this year. We are a rebuilding team. I have no dreams of a long playoff run. My superbowl this year is the Redskins Vs the Cowboys and we blew it.

| Re: The Sky is NOT Falling! When/if we solve our red-zone problems, score a few TD's as opposed to FG's we can rest a little easier in some of these close, hard fought games. When you allow teams to stay close because you can't score, what happened last night will usually result. The sky is not falling, but the smallest of things are magnified when we lose.

| Re: The Sky is NOT Falling! I totally agree. They are 2-1 and they really werent that far from being 0-3 . They werent going 16-0, this is 1 loss and now on to StL. If things go bad there then it might be time to re-evaluate but lets cross that bridge when we get to. |

| Re: The Sky is NOT Falling! Keeping Dallas out of the end zone is further validation on how much the D has improved. Once the offense catches up, the Skins will be a consistent playoff threat. Even if the Skins don't finish better than 8-8, for the first time in years, I feel like better days are coming soon. Last edited by SouperMeister; 09-27-2011 at 10:21 AM. |

| Re: The Sky is NOT Falling! Agree that there is much improvement to be made on the OL, but Trent Williams fought his guts out against Ware. As poorly as he played against the Giants, he was very competitive against the best pass rusher in the league last night. Last edited by SouperMeister; 09-27-2011 at 12:12 PM. |
