I hate games like this. If you loose it's the end of the world, if you win it doesn't feel like a meaningful win because the opponent was "to weak." Granted I want to win but it's not the same as say a win against the likes of Dallas, New York (both Jets and Giants), Patriots, etc. The best, somewhat realistic outcome we can hope for is a blow out of St. Louis.

I'm not trying to pile on, but right now they're simply a bad team. They've lost 6 of 7 going back to last year, they are clearly heading in the wrong direction.
Same thing could be said of the 2008 Rams. Every prior game they had before the one against us, teams scored 30 or more points against them.

If you win with different players scoring and by at least 10 points, then it's a good win. Otherwise, and for the most part, you're right.

I respect this comment you made more than your previous comment of "Rams aren't gonna beat us. You guys are seriously high" It's very possible they could beat us (losing to good teams, having a longer week than us, us being down after losing a close game, us having two straight road games.)
In the end it's just my opinion and I know anything can happen, but I don't see the Rams winning, and heck I'll even be surprised if they keep it close. Maybe I'm the one who's high, but I doubt it.

Yes the Rams have played some good teams so far, but they've barely been competitive. They are one of the worst 3-4 teams in the league right now.

This is Mike Shanahan and JH not Jim Zorn and Greg Blache

Re: Skins v Rams pregame

I'm weary about this game. It seems like every time we have a game like this (bad team, every indication points to an easy win) the last few years, we either choke or barely scrape it out. I can't remember the last time we played a bad team, and did what good teams do to bad teams..... 2005 against the 49ers is the first one that comes to mind.

I don't consider any team in the NFL an automatic win. But hopefully we can take care of business and pad our stats against them like every other team has been doing

We will see. I am on the side of this discussion that worries about our tendency to play down to the opponent, and add in the fact that I expect Steven Jackson to be healthy and ready to play the whole game and I see a recipe for either a meager win or a disastrous loss. Disastrous, because heading into the bye week at 2-2 after 2 losses would lead this team back to the typical role we have played.

I like the talent on this team. I like the coaching on the team. I won't trust that this team can win like it should until we stop finding ways to shoot ourselves in the foot.

Re: Skins v Rams pregame

I really hope we win this one. 3-1 heading into a bye week is a very nice luxury, as 77% of teams that reach week 4 with at least 3 wins make the playoffs. Like I said before, I am really scared for the team this week though. I hope the underachieving Bradford and SJ, along with the talented MSW do not put it all together this week.
