Mobile strip club providing pre-game entertainment for Lions fans being investigated by Detroit cops

Mobile strip clubs in stadium parking lots? Brilliant!

Seriously though people had to know it would get shut down. You can't just have strippers mingling amongst children, which is horribly stupid. Maybe if they kept all the strippers on the bus it'd be easier to get away with, but even then probably not.

I think we'll be hearing more about this after the Lions next home game against the Bears in October. You can't just run a business in city limits without the proper permits, mobile or not.

EDIT: Lotta hilarity in the comments as well, such as this classic:
"Hey you have to tip your hat for inovation and besides at least they are creating jobs. What are you doing to create jobs councilman Kenyatta"

If this is what got the Lions turned around, I say Dan Snyder should let the buses in the Green lot.

Pretty sure these guys were at the Michigan Nascar race back in 2008. They didn't get any of my money, but my friend was not so wise.

Now, Dave Bing is a legend and all, but as has been covered here and elsewhere ad nauseum, live NFL games really are not family entertainment. They just aren't. I won't take my son to a pro football game until he's in middle school at least. Just too many drunks, too expensive, too many chances that something bad will happen.

Obviously something like this qualifies as something bad that could happen, but I don't think the City of Detroit is going to impose a 2 beer max at Ford Field or crack down on binge drinking in the parking lot, so...

I think there should be a ballet club in DC with that name of "Bare Skins" with a maroon and gold sign and interior.

Shoot I wouldn't be surprised if the area strip clubs bitched about that as well. Sounds like they are going to get the plug pulled from what I have been hearing up here. It is too bad. With the Tigers in the playoffs with possibly playing in Det for end extended period of time(provided they beat the Yanks), Detroit will be rocking on Sundays for the next few weeks, if both the Lions and Tigers play. I wouldn't be caught there though, just because of the traffic. Whenever that happens(Tigers and Lions play same time) it takes hours just to get on I-75. It is too bad such a novel idea gets nailed from the image police. IF Detroit wants to improve its image it needs to finish knocking down old burnt out homes and abandoned buildings.

I agree, if you want family friendly you need to nix the beer and the scantily clad cheerleaders as well. I like hot chicks for sure, but why do you need lingerie models from Macys on the sidelines if the focus is on the game and there are kids around? The Lions don't have cheerleaders, and used to have HS colorguard and baton twirlers do the cheer stuff.
