| Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo This year's Redskins draft class will go as one best when it's all said and done. We are just scratching the surface, Kerrigan, Helu, Paul are making an impact and as the season progresses others will step up.

Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo They both benefit by having the other on the opposite side. Kerrigan is exactly what we needed to go with Rak. I can't wait to see these guys dominate for years to come.

Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo Kerrigan needs a year under his belt to become an Orakpo, just for the fact that Brian has had more time to get comfortable in his role as OLB. Ryan had a more dramatic entry into the NFL with his pick six, and his sacks, but he isn't surpassing Orakpo for sometime, if ever. To do that he will have to improve exponentially I think.

Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo Kudos IrMitchell. With that said, what's up with all the chest pounding on the 'Path recently? first 44ever with his "I told you so" about Torain and now IrMitchell about Kerrigan. No offense bro but it only works if someone else toots your horn, such as if I came in here and said, well IrMitchell deserves major kudos for his Kerrigan prediction before the draft. It just makes you look like an ass for doing it yourself. Again not trying to be hostile here but I'm calling it like I see it.

maybe as RK gets more attention, Rak can start developing some techniques that let his speed become more of a factor.

just kidding. But Kerrigan can definitely be better than Orakpo, but right now we have one of the best 3-4 OLB cores in the league. Orakpo is our James Harrison. Kerrigan is our LaMar Woodley.

On a serious note, I hope the team can put together an effective offense soon, so we don't waste this defense of ours while it is in its prime.

Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo He had a nice inside move too. 2.5 sacks, not bad for a guy with no moves... according to some.

Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo Haven't even read the other posts yet but what it looks like to me is Orakpo is being held almost every play which keeps him from getting his sacks. Kerrigan is totally benifiting from Orakpo being stopped but what is nice is during the games it seems like when the opponants decide they are tired of Kerrigan either getting to the QB or getting too close they move the protection his way and Orakpo is freed up. Its nice to see the Skins with two awesome pass rushers.

Re: Your thoughts of the possibility of Kerrigan "surpassing" Orakpo I think Rak would get more calls if he went to the ground actually. You see holding called all the time when the tackle or guard takes the defender to the ground. Sure it'd be embellishing a little bit but we'd be naive to think players in this league don't embellish when given the opportunity. As for beating the tackle I think Rak is actually diversifying his arsenal up this year. I saw him work a spin move on one play there, and on another he went inside on the tackle. And as has been mentioned on Bowen's straight sack Rak rushed up the middle, bumped the guard into the tackle, and that's what opened Bowen up to get straight to the quarterback. Overall great game by Rak today, he still got a holding call and that's in addition to the 2.5 sacks he recorded.
