| DC Sports Radio has been a preemptive wake. I finally yelled at my radio and shut it off this morning as some Sports jock on 106.7 was breaking down the game and just kept talking about how Philly is stacked and has an unstoppable Offense and, as he described it, I guess it's a stroke of good luck the Redskins Defense hasn't given up a 900 yard game yet. Tomorrow is not a given, obviously... but for cryin' out loud... when you justify your doom and gloom on giving up a lead to the Cowboys I have to start wondering if they actually watched an Eagles game this season. | Re: DC Sports Radio has been a preemptive wake. They're losing with more points than we're winning with which will sway some. The keys are to contain the big plays, grind the clock, and find an offensive rhythm. We're giving up less points but need to find a way to score.

| Re: DC Sports Radio has been a preemptive wake. DC sports radio has some of the biggest Redskins haters I've ever heard. Seriously when I listen to them it feels like I live in NY (where I'm from) when I hear them speak of the Redskins. It's ridiculous.

I think and old cliche works here- the truth hurts. I have absolutely no problem with local sports radio giving the Redskins their due (which almost always isn't pretty). I actually find it refreshing. Why should they sugar coat it? I'll tell you one thing, if you want to hear some love, tune into the John Thompson Show w/ Doc Walker on 980 every weekday from 2-4. My god, Doc Walker is homer numero uno.

| Re: DC Sports Radio has been a preemptive wake. I am terribly confused. How hard is it to make a thread title that makes sense? It doesn't seem too hard. Most of the posters around here take the board somewhat seriously. As in...have the GD respect to title a thread with some actual f'n thought. Otherwise, if you don't care enough to even do that, no one is going to care enough about what you have to say. End grumpy rant. |

| Re: DC Sports Radio has been a preemptive wake. Eagles have scored plenty of points this season. The only time they didn't break 20 points this season was against the Giants.

| Re: DC Sports Radio has been a preemptive wake. Agreed, I love Doc - you know what you are getting when you tune in. The way he deals with Cowboy fans who call in is hysterical. Two Mondays ago he played various radio lowlights from the Cowboys collapse against the Lions going into and out of every break. Will never not enjoy listening to him talk about Romo's "competition anxiety." |

| Re: DC Sports Radio has been a preemptive wake. I used preemptive on purpose. The DJs are having this wake as a CYA. On Monday they won't take a hit if the Skins win because everyone is happy. If the Redskins lose they can say "I told you so". They are trying to avoid a week of shows where they have to explain why they made the obvious pick and got it wrong. |
