What's your take on our coaching?

We could try to run the ball all day, bottom line is with the line the way it is now, we're just not going to be able to run effectively.

So not only can we not run, we can't pass, and we obviously couldn't score yesterday.

Actually Foster was on the Texans roster in 2009, Kyle's last year there.

What is it that convinces people that 'pounding the rock' is the solution to all our offensive problems? Do people still seriously believe that these are the Hogs of 1982? Keep this in mind: Before taking Trent Williams, this team hadn't selected an offensive lineman in the first two rounds of the draft since Chris Samuels 12 years ago. Kyle wasn't the one who neglected the line for a dozen seasons. And Shanahan and Allen haven't had enough drafts or draft picks to rectify it.

I'll never understand why the coaches are the ultimate demons in this nightmare.

With Wrecks and Beck a decent passing offense is impossible.

What other choice is left but a good faith effort at a running game?

Perhaps a running game won't work. Perhaps. But the passing game has no hope.

They did try. Torrain had 1.8 yards per carry. Look, I don't have time to post the play by play, but here's the link. Just look at all of the carries by Torrain for 1 and 2 yard runs. Also take note that we were down 20-0 at the start of the 3rd quarter.

If the offensive line opens up the running lanes and they can get some yardage running the ball, you'll see more running plays.

i am disappointed in our coaching staff for not recognizing the problems and making adjustments.

if the run game is going no where, try some short screens and hits that work like a run game. they should have anticipated the run game getting shut down or atleast planned for a "what if" scenario.

just didnt expect beck to be that hesitant either.

where the hell has the long ball gone? last year the big play was a consistent occurrence for our offense, this year it seems like we are back to the same ole in the box offense that doesnt stretch the field.

i know kyles offense can work big plays, weve seen it before.

Part of having a running game is not ever allowing Ryan Torain to lead your team in carries. We're failing miserably at running not because we don't have the talent to do it, but because we're not committed to succeeding while running. We run just to say we did.

Now, we're committed to trying to make a passing "attack" out of our current personnel. Our bread and butter is the pass. But we're hilariously under-talented there. What we haven't committed to is bringing in players that would make the passing game click, instead opting for Donte Stallworth and John Beck.

Totally 100% disagree here. Why are you so down on Torain????? I think he's proven that when he has some daylight he can break tackles and make yardage. We've seen him do it. Yesterday there was simply nowhere to run.

ALSO...can someone explain why there wasn't a no huddle offense? I swear if I were Snyder, and thank god I'm not, I'd walk in Redskin Park today and fire Kyle Shanahan.

I can't apply this to yesterday's game, but the eye in the sky says otherwise. Torain runs to early contact because he doesn't see where the lane is. He does worse with the blocking he gets than most RBs do.

I've seen him do it, but only against awful run defenses (with one exception: the 2010 Chicago Bears, best game of his career). What has Torain ever done to the Cowboys or the Giants on the ground?

Helu didn't get a rushing yard yesterday. Until we're going to let our best runner touch the football, we can't say we're not talented. This is a problem Kyle had in Houston as well, difference being, he could evade criticism by ignoring the running game. Here, he cant get away with that.

We haven't had much of a running game since the Giants game...except maybe the Rams game.

Hey, remember the Spurrier era? The worst head coach in team history?

The Redskins had better offenses and better teams under Spurrier in both years than Mike Shanahan has.

So I'm pretty shocked that 71% of us don't think his seat should be getting hot.
