| Kerrigan no respect? Why has Ryan Kerrigan gotten zero consideration for defensive rookie of the year? I've now seen about 5 articles discussing the defensive rookie of the year, and he hasn't been mentioned once. I'm not saying I think he should get it because Von Miller seems to be playing out of this world, and I'm not sure how good patrick peterson is as a corner but as a return man he has been insane, but when I see JJ Watt and Aldon Smith consistently mentioned, it irks me that kerrigan isn't also. Out of all the pass rushing rookies, he leads in tackles (is 4 shy of triple Smith's total), he is the only one with a pass defensed (and he has 4), he is the only player with an interception or a touchdown, and he leads the pass rushing rookies in forced fumbles by double what second place has (he has 4, next most is 2). If Watt and Smith get mentioned without Kerrigan one more time imma blow up. Stats are here. NFL Stats: by Player Category |

| Re: Kerrigan no respect? Fair enough. Although others are also having good years, I agree that 91 deserves more respect. Maybe if he didn't play for such a crappy team...

| Re: Kerrigan no respect? That would make a lot more sense if he weren't basically the same player on a couple of great teams in St. Louis. Also, he played on similar teams in Buffalo before he got here and he never made a Pro Bowl then either. I don't think his team's success is the reason London didn't go to the Pro Bowl. That said, I don't have any idea what the reasoning is. EDIT: When I say "similar teams" I mean his Bills teams were similar to his Redskins teams, not his Rams teams. | Re: Kerrigan no respect? Well to be fair Von Miller, Patrick Peterson and Aldon Smith are having pretty good years too.

| This. There's no clear cut front runner like Suh last year, and there's a lot of good rookies this year. I've seen Kerrigan getting plenty of respect though, from ESPN's Rookie Watch to their NFCE blogger Dan Graziano. |

| Re: Kerrigan no respect? If he keeps playing the way he's been he will definitely get mentioned for ROY, though I don't see him winning it. |

| Re: Kerrigan no respect? He definitely deserves some attention. He was def. rookie of the week after g-men game. Not sure if he got it this week or not, but those kinda games (2 sackes, 2 ff) will really draw attention to him. |

RK was getting a lot of media love when we were 3-1, and he gets on air respect during games. But if you are 3-6, and headed downward, honors just aren't coming the team or player's way. | |
