It probably has been asked.. but I thought running into the kicker was an automatic 1st down for the kicking team?

Ok, I'm officially off the Banks bandwagon. I understand you need to use your blockers but when your blockers are not getting up field and pretty much get stonewalled.... you take another route. Why he didn't run right and try to make some people miss is beyond me but he has been simply running right into the pack of players every run getting nothing.
