| Re: The Big Rumor: If The Colts Take Luck, Then Manning Could Be... Not much so. Look at it this way, the Colts have said that they are not trading him. If he's healthy they will keep him if he's not they will let him go. But what they fail to say is if they draft Luck and Peyton is not happy then they might just be smart in letting him go before he's due his extra money so they don't take such a big CAP hit. If they pay him and trade him they take a bigger hit I think then if they just let him go. |

| Re: The Big Rumor: If The Colts Take Luck, Then Manning Could Be... I just heard on the radio that the Redskins are interested in Manning and Jeff Saturday as a package deal. I hope this isn't true but I'd be willing to bet it is. |

But if it is true I hope we are not throwing away our top draft picks. I'd still like to get a QB and WR with the first two picks. QB to learn under Peyton or start if they are better then the FA QB we pick up, and a WR to give said QB's an offensive weapon. | |

| Re: The Big Rumor: If The Colts Take Luck, Then Manning Could Be... Um.....I'd be willing to give them Chris Cooley + Roy Helu (because I actually believe Evan Royster may wind up being the better of the two backs,) but the Redskins should still do what they need to do to get RG III.

| Re: The Big Rumor: If The Colts Take Luck, Then Manning Could Be... It's all based on Bram's tweet. And I told you what he told a member of this message board today (offline). It's just an informed opinion from an NFL insider that the Redskins would, if Manning is healthy and free, go hard after him. And to maybe the sweeten the pot a bit they'll bring along his good buddy and teammate Jeff Saturday (whereas maybe other teams wouldn't). Again, even though Bram has great sources within the Redskins, this did not come from someone inside the Redskins.

Mannings bonus comes in March, the draft is in April. Theyre in a real pickle.

| Re: The Big Rumor: If The Colts Take Luck, Then Manning Could Be... There are a lot of IF's, and I honestly don't think Peyton Manning is going to be healthy enough to play. But yeah, if there was no doubt the Manning was 100% healthy and in football shape, it would be awful hard to pass him up, but you don't mortgage the future on him.

| Re: The Big Rumor: If The Colts Take Luck, Then Manning Could Be... Oh there you go again with your silly logic! Just let us jump to conclusions if only to keep the chicken little "we're wasting draft picks on old players" routine going; it's all we got!!!
