| Coaching Changes In the article that is posted on the left part of the screen, entitled Redskins Notes, Shannahan Confident about Return, by the Washington Examiner, the author indicates that Shannahan most likely will be making coaching changes himself, which may start on Monday. My question, who do you think is getting the axe? Let's not make this a Kill Kyle thread, we all know Kyle is hear to stay and to be honest, the offense has improved from last season. I don't see Haslett going any where nor do I see Danny Smith going any where.... Thoughts? |

| Re: Coaching Changes Kyle stays. JH could get the axe if they feel a stronger candidate is out there, but I still think he stays. I think any changes will be minor, a few assistants moving on perhaps. |

| Re: Coaching Changes Of the big 3, most likely Danny Smith. I know (well, I've heard) that he and Mike Shanahan haven't been on the same page a lot these past two years. But I would think he stays. If any changes are made, they are probably at the lower levels

| Re: Coaching Changes If JH gets the axe you would have to axe KS in my opinion, and that ain't happening so it will probably be some assistant coach's. I'm not a fan of JH but unless there's a better DC out there, you have to give him time. |

| Re: Coaching Changes I could see Haslett going, but Mike recruitted him to come and if he keeps talking about time, he has to give Haslett time too. I'm not super impressed with him, but the defense is better than it was last year by leaps and bounds. Although, there is still alot of work to be done, especially in the secondary. |

| Re: Coaching Changes JH stays. His Defense is respectable and if a couple of gaping holes can be filled, most importantly in our secondary....it may be great.

| Re: Coaching Changes I know we b*tch (well I) about our special teams play. But our coverage teams are quietly some of the best in the league. Danny Smith would be a bad loss, even though ive been very critical. If he goes, he wont be outta work too long.

Continous flux in the coaching staff and.....subsequent schemes will never be the answer. THIS coaching team (or at least the core of it) can get this done AND WILL! HTTR......

| Re: Coaching Changes Danny Smiths firing is long overdue. Different players, different coaches, same crappy results.

Both offensive and defensive units have improved in most major categories and the team has two years into each system. It would be foolish to desire or anticipate a change on either side of the ball.

| I I don't think any of the significant guys deserve to go yet. 3 year minimum to get the right pieces. But if say Haslett goes, please, oh please lord, don't go get a guy that runs a 4/3 and set us back two more years. |
