Only Stallworth here is "sort of a starter". The guys to get rid of from an offense that was miserable all season long are all on the bench? Keep the starters? Sounds to me like 2012 would be an awful lot like 2011...

| Re: Who Stays-Who Goes? (Offense) You'd have to think that Donte Stallworth will not be back next season. The Redskins wil draft a young receiver or sign a proven veteran in free agency. Sean Locklear definitely won't be back. I'd bet some money that if John Beck isn't traded, he will definitely be released. Brandon Banks, although explosive, just wasn't impressive during either kickoff returns or punt returns this year. Aldrick Robinson has a chance to wrestle the kick return and punt return duties away from Banks next preseason. |

Based on what fans saw - - and what coaches saw and will continue to see on the coaching tapes - - of John Beck's performance in real NFL games on Sunday afternoons, I cannot imagine that any team would offer anything to acquire him. Not even a bag of used kicking tees... John Beck seems like a personable and likeable guy. The problem is that he is no longer a "kid" and his football performance at an age where QBs are typically at their peak is unacceptable. Prediction: The Redskins will get no offers for Beck in trade. At that point, the Redskins' coaches will have to decide just how important his work ethic and his practice performance are to the Redskins' team. That is his "value".

| Re: Who Stays-Who Goes? (Offense) Lets say we have exactly two players at QB next year better than Beck. Would he even be worth rostering as a third QB next year vs. going with two guys? He'd be inactive on gamedays and if you lost your starter for any length of time, you'd have to go out and find a backup QB you could trust that isn't John Beck.
