Combine and Senior Bowl two different things. Tannehill still has the combine and his pro day.

#2 deciding not to partake in the Senior Bowl is not helping his status.

#3 did not look as sharp today or very big compared to his counter parts.

#4 I forget what the knock on him was, sorry but he and the Lindly kid are last on my list.

#5 Weeden has done nothing but improve his stock for me. Won his Bowl game, against Luck, threw all the passes to include the deep ball perfectly, showed up for the Senior Bowl in shape, and has been tossing the ball pretty well to include rolling out and throwing the ball in a similar system the Skins use. I say similar cause it's a watered down version of what we do but he looks good doing it.

#6 Lindly I think if I'm not mistaken is too short at like 5-9 or 5-10.

#7 intrigues me cause he is like 6-8 and supposedly. An make decent throws.i think this kids knock was being able to read defenses.

I understand the concern about Weedens age and as mention Mayoch(spelling) said this kid will be someone you bring in and either start immediately if you can get him to understand enough of your offense or start within a year or two cause he will most likely play into his 30's.

My second reason for him is he is mature and hopefully will make better decisions because of being more mature.

My last reason is because he is right now learning some of our offense and picking it up well and looks good and he buys us time to look at other QB's in the next few years to start developing without having to toss half of our valuable draft picks this year and next year to get.

He's someone we can take in the 1st that will already know the coaches and some of the plays and the coaches will already know him and what he needs to finish learning and still have a full compliment of draft picks to pick up other offensive weapons to help him out vs. tossing half our picks away at one QB whom we won't start picking up help for until round 3 or 4. We need more WR help whether you guys realize it or not. Our 3 top WRs are Moss(aged), Gaffney, Armstrong(50/50), and Hankerson. The rest really didn't contribute except Stallworth who was let go mid season and brought back. Hankerson still has to prove himself, and Armstrong could have been only a flash in the pan we shall see if he takes his mediocre play to heart this year and steps up or not.
So...is anyone planning to correct SBXVII on Lindley?

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

I believe that an NFL team is going to draft Kellen Moore (Boise State) in the later rounds of the April 2012 Draft and put him through a learning/developmental process (practice squad/#3 QB/back-up QB) for at least 2 years. At that point, I think that team will have an excellent back-up QB on their sidelines who would be capable to step in and start a few games for a contending team and keep that team in contention.

My belief has nothing to do with "numbers" or "stats" or "blogs by guys-in-the-know". My belief has to do with what I saw with my eyes while watching him play for Boise State over the past several years.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. He appears to be a shrewd operator and would have the framework of a deal already in place.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

The more time goes along, the more I think that we are going to get Manning. Sign Peyton Manning, draft the best O Lineman in the first, Foles in the second, and throw a bunch of money at Vincent Jackson and Dwayne Bowe, and the best corner we can afford.

Manning teaching Foles, without the threat of a Luck behind him, tossing it to VJax and Hankerson, and Fred Davis, and dont forget Gaffney, as well as a great pass catching RB in Helu. Dont forget that Peyton Manning will make everyone on the Offense, EVERYONE, look alot better, including our line and receivers. We keep our pass rushing talent, peyton gets a much better defense than he ever had in indy, and we strengthen some pieces this offseason, making our offense much more polished and talented in the process. Oh, and we have our QB of the future in Foles.........

I definitely would not hate it if the Redskins get a Peyton Manning here, still in his mid thirties, with a chip on his shoulder. Mike Shanahan could not lose with this plan, he is instantly turning the squad into a contender, while still preserving our future in Foles, a very talented capable young QB.

Sign my ass up, I think I just talked myself into wanting peyton manning on our team.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

The problem I have is if and when P.Manning is ready to play will he stay healthy the whole season? Everything I keep hearing about Foles is he's raw, needs to work on his footwork a lot more, and I don't think he's been showing well at the Senior Bowl. So if Manning went down I'd be really concerned about who came in next.

Duly noted 6'3". I think his issue is accuracy also this week like Foles.
