| Been reading more recently; I've seen some of your posts and looking forward to seeing more. I love this site; you guys are generally witty and knowledgeable. Several years ago, I spent a good bit of time on the Washington Post Redskin site. Some of those guys could get really nasty at times; eventually I tired of that and gave up the whole notion of chat boards. But I'm back and I like the new "home" |

Interesting. Prater looked to be a good kicker from what I saw.

While the Giants have played well lately, they are still more lucky than good. Let's face it. The NYG didn't really outplay the Packers or the 49ers in their last two games. The Packers had so many dropped passes that would have made a difference in the divisional playoff game. San Francisco lost the NFC championship game because of two turnovers by the punt returner Williams that allowed the Giants to not only get back into the game, but win it. That's what I mean by the Giants being more lucky than good. In assessing the Giants, those two losses to the Redskins and that blowout loss to the Saints are really who these Giants are. Against the Patriots they will not be as lucky as they have been in recent weeks. Tom Brady has said that the loss to the Giants in Super Bowl 42 still bothers him. Brady will be surgical in carving the Giants secondary all day in this game en route to a blowout victory. | |

| Re: Around the NFL: Super Bowl Thread You need more than luck to get this far. The Giants have been playing well, gotta give credit where it's due. They got hot at the right time, and healthy. |

Prater is currently the most accurate kicker in National Football League history for field goals of 50 yards or more, having hit 12 of 16 (or 75%) from that range [7], although six of those twelve have been hit in the thinner air in Denver.
