Hightower was solid til he got hurt. Everyone was happy with the deal before that. Bruce Allen was looked at as a genius that straight up swindled the Cards.

I wonder if we will bite on some of these veteran offensive linemen that were released. I know some have some years under their belt, but if we can get them cheap, who knows?

Hightower should be in the mix. He probably wants something like a three or four year deal that will keep him a Redskin for a few seasons. But with Helu and Royster already the main focus of the coaches, it might be hard for Hightower to see playing time.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

Ross makes Snyder look like Robert Kraft.

Dolphins owner phones season ticket holder, says Brandon Marshall would have been cut | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports

Listen to this stupid shit he told a 20year STH.

Quote:
- He told Lawrence that had the Dolphins not traded receiver Brandon Marshall to the Chicago Bears for two third-round picks, the mercurial pass-catcher would have been cut outright. "[Ross] said they had been shopping [Marshall] for a couple weeks," Lawrence said. "Nobody would return their phone calls about getting him. If Chicago didn't take [Marshall] Ö they would have ended up cutting him very shortly after that, and got nothing.
Going to cut Marshall?...lol Really?

Quote:
"[Ross] goes, 'If my coach wanted Matt Flynn, didn't you think he would be here?'" Lawrence said. "'If my coach said I want Matt Flynn as our starting quarterback next year he would be here, but I couldn't pay Matt Flynn $8 million to come here. If I end up getting him, it's a gamble Ö and I'm still drafting a quarterback. I'm still looking for another option."
wha..what?

Tells the guy if the coach wanted Flynn, he would be there, expect for the fact that he (Ross) wasn't going to pay 8mil per season even though Flynn was interested in coming there...lol Mind boggling.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

Curtis Painter is like Peyton Manning compared to Caleb Hanie...well maybe not, but not far off

Broncos are also bringing in Dennis Dixon in for a visit though

Smoot, what do you make of this? Hear any word?

@incarceratedbob is breaking a few of these. He's normally good for some stuff.

10:33PMest:3/25/12:**UPDATED NFL RUMORS**Source: NE Patriots & Chicago Bears have been discussing a blockbuster deal that would land Forte in New England (Pats offering 2ndRd & 4thRd pick) #IBN sources are saying that this deal has picked up major steam the past 48Hours and something could pop at anytime.. Source is stating, Pats view Forte as the last piece to a major offensive juggernaut, only thing that may stop this deal from happening is the Bears insisting on another high pick this year or next year. My source states this will be worked out sooner or later and we could very well see Forte running for Brady & the "Hoodie" soon...

10:15PMest:3/25/12:**UPDATED NFL RUMORS**Source: St Louis Rams are getting more involved in contract negotiations with Mike Wallace -- Wallace still wants big money but the Rams feel he will come down as draft approaches. STL is ready to pounce when his price drops, the big play WR could still end up in Pittsburgh as they have the right 2match any contract offer... (Broncos & Pats still with limited interest)

If Chicago doesn't get a first rounder for Forte, they are f*cking idiots.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

For St. Louis sake Mike Wallace isn't worth the number 6 pick.
