Seriously though, I might pick up one of those jerseys you did. With kids, I can't justify spending that much on myself any more either.
Same here, wife and two baby daughters. I know a guy that gets them, I don't as how, I don't ask why, as long as it looks good, is cheap, and I can support my team, I am fine.

This is why you need Mentos. To justify your questionable problem solving skills.

treat yourself, when is the last time you bought a jersey?

last one i bought was 5 years ago, 75th anniversary taylor
i'm getting the 80th anniversary griffin iii

i've been told by the redskins, by nflshop, and by nike that they have no idea if they will be getting "limited" 80th anniversary jerseys. so i'm thinking i may just pull the trigger on the "game" jersey. so far, $114 shipped from redskins store is the cheapest i've found. if i don't find anything cheaper, i'll order it next week.

*also, nflshop got back to me in regards to the pricing of their 80th anniversary "game" jerseys - they told me that they make each one to order... that's why they're $150 instead of $100. wtf

I have a Portis jersey.

I'll probably get a matching set of father-son RGIII jerseys for Christmas and toss them under the tree from "Santa". He's growing out of his.

I wanted to get a white jersey this time...I've had burgundy since my white Ricky Sanders a long time ago...but that damn collar...I can't.

I almost bought him a Cooley jersey last month. Glad I passed!

New uniform issue. Some of the teams are having problems with the Nike pants becoming transparent when they sweat.

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

i can't remember if i saw any of our guys with white shoes, but i saw at least 4 different variations

black/black
black/white
black/gold
burgundy/gold

would like to see a more uniform look, burgundy/gold my first choice. not sure if they offer that option on the ugly lineman shoes, though

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

I prefer the team-colored shoes.

RGIII and others wore black with white or gold accents.

No one can wear white. Every team must designate black or white with the league before the season. Players can wear that team choice or the team colors. That's why Peyton Manning was threatened with fines for trying to honor the deceased Johnny Unitas by wearing black shoes, the Colts were a "white shoe" team.

I like the shoes Alfred Morris wore best. Check out his and Fred Davis' shoes, they're reversed color schemes on the same shoe.

i wonder if trent was fined for his pre-labor day whites in the preseason?

i think kickers are the only exception to the rule, or are they?

but alfred and fred are wearing different shoes, check out the strap on the front of alfred's

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

Kickers are exempt. They can wear black, white, one black and one white or just one shoe total.

Quote:
Rule 5, Section 3, Article 4
(j) - "Shoes" <stuff snipped>...All players on the same team must wear the same color shoe (either all white or all black, with all-white or all-black laces, whichever are applicable), and the selection of such shoe color must be reported by clubs to the League office by July 1 each year. Punters and placekickers are permitted, only on plays in which they line up to kick, to deviate temporarily from this rule, e.g., by wearing one black and one white shoe, or two black shoes while the rest of the team wears white.

I can't tell from these pictures because RGIII is wearing Black, but does he wear Nike shoes or his Adidas shoes?

It looks as though Adidas has not been an approved supplier yet because all the logos on his equipment looked as though it was covered or non-exsistant.

Looks like the NFL already has a beef to pick with Griffin III about wearing an unauthorized Adidas.

He covered up the Nike logo, that's what the beef is about

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

i applaud his effort, going above and beyond for adidas. maybe next time he just wears a sleeveless t-shirt over it. all the nike redskins tees seem to only have logos on the sleeves. i see a lot of guys warming up in sleeveless tees...
