Re: Peyton Manning Chooses the Broncos

Just learned that #18 is retired by the Broncos.

Apparently, Frank Tripucka has said he would be willing to un-retire it for Manning.

He may end up wearing #16 again.

Manning has a better shot at the superbowl with the 49ers than the Broncos.

both have good defenses. i don't favor one over the other. i wonder if he really wanted to avoid the nfc, it seems like it

Re: Peyton Manning Chooses the Broncos

anyone can get carved up by brady. they're both good defenses. i can't see denver's as overrated for the simple fact that they won several games with tim tebow as their qb. there is nothing more demoralizing for a defensive player than knowing his offense can't be counted on to put points on the board

I don't think the Broncos defense compares to the 49ers, but they were one of the reasons the Broncos won all those games under Tebow. Plus, the Pats offensive attack is pretty elite (when healthy), very few defenses are going to stop them. Denver has some defensive weaknesses, however if Manning is able to produce, it will benefit the defense a lot (something I think will happen here with RG3).

This idea brought to you by the people at ESPN.

So sick of hearing this joke.

Peyton Manning is not intimidated by his little brother.

Peyton Manning doesn't care about learning a new system or playbook.

Apparently, Peyton Manning doesn't care about the weather either.

It's not about intimidation; it's having the Super Bowl be a Manning Bowl too.

John Fox has shown he's a really flexible guy.

And isn't Manning's record on the road not that bad anyway? Plus, the thinner air could play to his advantage in terms of chucking it deep.

That wasn't the media's parrot line over the past few weeks. They specifically said he "wouldn't want to face his brother in the playoffs."

I assume they meant prior to the Super Bowl.
