| Re: RG3 impresses on first day of practice with Redskins vets That's great that he can roll out left and right, but he needs to work on working out of the pocket. There will tough games where he will have to operate out of the pocket, he just can't roll out the whole game or someone will take him out.

| Re: RG3 impresses on first day of practice with Redskins vets Griffin likes playing the role of pocket passer and by all accounts he's done very well at it. I don't really doubt Griffin's ability, intelligence and/or work ethic at this point. Hopefully is maturity is on par w/ his other qualities because a rookie season, especially in DC, can be downright overwhelming. That's why I'm looking for analysis of the oline's performance through the off-season. A good to great oline should make Griffin's rookie campaign much easier.

| Re: RG3 impresses on first day of practice with Redskins vets It's OTA's. Beck and Grossman looked good in OTA's, and even in the pre season. None of it matters until the pads are on. But good to see RG3 is picking up the playbook quickly. |

The pocket passing isn't going to be a huge staple of our game, but I am sure he will get plenty of practice at it.

| Re: RG3 impresses on first day of practice with Redskins vets That's what Shannahan means by doing things never done before by other QB's. He moves so fast after the snap and I'm not talking about runing speed but play action etc. He rolls out so fast the defense is going to have to commit safeties to hold contain and protect themsleves from 50 yard runs. He is accurate while throwing on the run, "Santana Moss touchdown!!!". |

I do believe though some of those plays RG1 did get were either because of his mobility/speed and arm strength so I'm excited too to see how RG3 with his speed is able to seperate from defenders and his ability to get the long ball long.
