| 2012 Training Camp Competitions Open Discussion What do you think will be the most important and impactful training camp compeitions? A general training camp discussion thread....

If the new draftees can turn out to be what we hope they are, and push the incumbents, that can go a long way to improving the offense. The line did pretty good early then injuries hit, and we couldnt replace that effectively enough imo. A good running game and good pass blocking for RG3 will make it so much easier for RG3 to settle in and be the QB we all think he can be. If he is running for his life, that will always slow down the development of a QB. Sure he can run if needed, but I dont want that to be the norm. |

| Training camp hasnt started yet, so no one is taking first team reps. It's only rookies this week.

| Re: 2012 Training Camp Competitions Open Discussion To answer the thread question: 1) Every position in the defensive backfield, starter and depth 2) DE - is Jenkins recovered and how high will he go? 3) each position in the interior OL and tackle depth

| Re: 2012 Training Camp Competitions Open Discussion The tight end position will be intriguing to watch. The Redskins, as reported recently, didn't sign Fred Davis to a long term contract. Niles Paul is in the mix as everyone knows. Paul might end up starting a few games this year. He could have a huge impact in the passing game. Chris Cooley is coming off of that knee injury. Based on what Cooley has done in the past, you have to assume that he wants to be a key part of the offense as well. |
