Jammal Brown is done. Believe it! He was told that he had to stay healthy to make the team and, unfortunately, he hasn't been able to do that. I doubt that we have an immediate answer to our RT problem on the roster and we have a very valuable Franchise QB to protect and develop. Some promising young NFL QB's have never reached their potential because they took too many hits early in their careers. That's why I think we'll try hard to make a trade for a starting RT. Kory L. might be OK. Time will tell. | |

| Re: We've got big trouble on the OL. Oh nice...drug accusations from Chico Little. I don't think the sky is falling. I was the first one to point out it was just a routine cleaning procedure, not full-scale surgery. Try reading for once.

| Re: We've got big trouble on the OL. It'd be nice to see Kory get some preseason reps, but as I brought up yesterday the focus on him and Hightower is really to be ready for the regular season. http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-l...tml#post927483 (Redskins Talking Trade with Raiders?) Jammal is Jammal, we'll see what the MRI says today. I've heard it's not expected to be anything serious. But at this point who can really say anymore. I think everyone knows he's on a short leash. I also think people forget we also got Niles Paul in that Saints trade. James Lee is pretty much non-existent, which is disappointing but I don't think much was expected of him It's natural for teams to have more WRs than OL, particularly in camp because of special teams. The real concern, in my opinion, is Willie Smith. I'm not so concerned about his injury. I'm concerned about what caused his injury. Getting abused by Rob Jackson. He's been getting abused a lot this past week. For a guy expected to take that next step he's taken a few too many back

| Re: We've got big trouble on the OL. I think he puts less value on it then WR. Could they have done more knowing they were going to start a rookie QB? I think they could've. I don't think they needed to go out and sign Morgan. That money should've been spent to a linemen. Also they should've taken a linemen w/ the Cousins pick. |

Yeah this is the same for me. Im wondering why it seems like hes regressing so badly. I read on HogsHeaven that he gained 20+ pounds, which strikes me as either a very good thing or a pretty bad thing. Over the summer Wiliie was either working out very hard or was just hanging out.

Anyway, Alexander HAS played O-line, so in an extreme emergency...why not? He's our 4th QB and 3rd punter too.

| Re: We've got big trouble on the OL. Sounds like RT is a revolving door at this point and regardless of who plays it won't give Griffin consistent protection. If this "scenario" remains constant over the season and Griffin takes a pounding I sincerely hope the current regime gets run out of town ASAP. I'm a fan first and a student of the game to a (much) lesser extent, and yet I know that protecting a rookie QB, especially a guy you want to be a superstar, is a basic necessity. How does a coaching staff and GM, remunerated to the tune of millions, not address this before July?! You can disect the decision-making and debate whether it's a matter of hubris, or unrealistic expectations, or whathaveyou, but the bottom line is this isn't how a roster should be managed by any regime, let alone by "legacy" guys.
