I think he can tend to choke at moments but last night he played a good game, especially given how many times his team got called for holds or false starts on critical downs. I certainly was hoping that he would throw a pick six at the 2 minute mark of the 4th quarter, but he hit Ogletree for a critical 1st down instead. C'est la guerre. I still hate the cowboys, and think that any praise that they do get will be overblown. Especially given the giants were also down several linemen which cut into their strongest point - the DL Rotation

| Re: Around the NFL Week 1 I thought Romo was rather brilliant last night. I would be concerned if I was Jerry too; without Romo, that team is going to have a hard time coming back. I mean the dude made all the crucial plays by switching up everyone's routes and doing a Peyton Manning. Then, whenever the Giants had a chance to make a play, he was able to roll, move and navigate through the pocket and then throw for a big play. |

| Re: Around the NFL Week 1 I should start a pool of when will Tom Coughlin be on the hot seat according to the NY media and when will the Giants go on their ridiculous end of the season run. I would put my money on late October for Coughlin and late November for the run.

Good point, he screwed Dallas too. I'm happy that my Giants-fan neighbor is sad today.

Also, romo had an above average game, but mostly because the giants secondary was embarrassing. Seriously, people are going to heap praise on him for shredding the likes of Justin Tryon?
