Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

So WTF happened at the end of the game where we had 3rd and 45? I didn't understand what happened and why we were penalized so heavily. 3rd and 45....don't think I've ever seen that before.

Sack, false start, unsportsman like conduct (Kyle). I' missed what Kyloe actual did.

Well it went from RGIII scrambling out of bounds giving the Skins 1st and 10 from about the 20 with a great chance to tie the game to 3rd and a coons ass, then false start time run off end of game.

I know there was a penalty for unsportsman like conduct but I'm wondering what Kyle did? Or what did he say? Either way that was pretty bad on his part.

To be honest with you, I've stated from the start that this option crap wasn't going to work long term (and it's not). The problem is that he's exposing his young QB to take some vicious hits (legal ones) that's going to end with him being out with injury. He can't keep this up for long no matter how much he says he can. This kid is smart enough to run a conventional offense with plays leaning towards his talents. (rollouts/bootlegs)

Really, with our run game, no need to expose our QB if you don't have to.

The real problem is that we're not good enough at the offensive tackle position to let Griffin get through his progressions, so the option game becomes a great way to bring the attack to the defense as opposed to letting them come attack. Griffin's taking a beating either way, but it's like playing against Oregon: one wrong move or missed assignment by the defense and we're gone for 80 yards. Speed kills.

Griffins been blasted almost every time he's completed a pass over ten yards this year. He's awesome: the throw is seemingly unaffected, but the only thing we can do to protect him is hand off conventionally, and with Morris back there that just won't be all that effective. This option run game is really all the Redskins have right now on the ground.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

So the refs ran off the clock ending the game and threw the flag when Kyle ran onto the field to question the Refs? That's BS. If the refs said the game was over how could they throw a flag on Kyle because he came onto the field. Even the announcers had no clue what happened as the refs did not say who the foul was on.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

It's becoming harder for me to criticize folks like Kyle and John Harbaugh who melt down. The officiating is awful. Coaches and players have millions of dollars on the line and they have mouths at home to feed, yet striped jokers keep f'ing everything up. If I am frustrated from my couch, I can only imagine what it feels like on the sideline.

It's time to settle with the real refs. The real refs have made their point.

Yeah I'm not criticizing Kyle really either. The frustration is more than understandable. It's just that you have to hold your water in crunch time, whether you are a player or coach. Losing it does no one any good. That was the Morgan lesson.

I wasn't blaming the refs for our losses. We have to play better. I was blaming the NFL for letting replacements turn the game into a nightmarish zoo.
