| I realize we drafted him to ultimately back up RG3. Dont think anyone was thinking week six though. Im more concerned with our immediate season than i am with kirk cousins development or future Rite now id rather go with what i know we have in Grossman and the possibility of good rex than someone who is still wet behind the ears. | Re: Week 6 Washington Redskins vs Minnesota Vikings Pregame Thread I don't really watch college football. Is Cousin's mobile? We need a mobile QB to score points consistently, and Rex can't waddle away from pressure to save his life.

| Re: Week 6 Washington Redskins vs Minnesota Vikings Pregame Thread Kirk Cousins was projected to be a 2nd round pick. How he fell to the 4th round no one knows. Mike Shanahan did the right thing in selecting him. He was too good to pass up when he was available. In conjunction with RG3's concussion, it was a wise move for the Redskins to select Cousins when they got the opportunity. |

I don't think ANYBODY is dismissing anything in regards to RGIII's discussion. However, relating a concussion from a driver who is accelerating over 100mph and slamming into other solid objects to a QB getting hit by another player is comparing apples to oranges. What we are saying is, LET THE INDEPENDENT DOCTORS decide. Keeping him out a "extra" week isn't going to do jack shit if he's cleared to play this week. If his concussion was mild or minor, I see no problems if he passes the tests and some qualified expert clears him. So if they don't have a problem with it, why should you? That bit about feeling strongly about it then stop watching football didn't translate as well as I wanted so disregard that part.

| Re: Week 6 Washington Redskins vs Minnesota Vikings Pregame Thread Man, the Redskins really need a win this weekend. To think they might beat the Giants or the Steelers on the road the next couple of weeks would be really optimistic. If they are not careful, they are going to go back into that category of playing meaningless games for the rest of the year as early as October. I think they can beat the Panther before the Bye in Week 9, but if they loose 3 more before then, none of us will care. Come on Skins! |

"According to a Virginia Tech study, a tackle like Trufant's probably caused Lewis's head to accelerate in his helmet at 30 to 60 g's. VT researchers gather data with the Head Impact Telemetry System, which employs sensors and wireless transmitters in helmets. "We see 100-g impacts all the time," says Stefan Duma, director of the university's Center for Injury Biomechanics, "and several over 150 g's."
