Re: Skins/Giants post game thread

When I lived in New York my second team was the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets. Now that I live near New Orleans my second team is the Saints.

There is never any conflict or question for me because I know I will root for the Skins even against my second team.

Are you saying alot of true fans have the sidekick team or to be a true fan you must have a sidekick. I am 41 years old and i have lived in Dolphin country / Raider/ niner country / giant / eagle country. have met alot of peole. I can think of one rite now that has two favorite teams. He is a skins/ steelers fan actually. Im gonna have to reach out to him this week. Personally i cant even imagine following another football team in the slightest. With me it comes down to who I hate the least if there are other teams on.

Haha, exactly what I was going to reply with.

I'm thinking Smoot is actually more of a Jets fan than Redskins fan...he just works here.

Why would I say that? YEARS ago, he said on here that he "doesn't hate the Cowboys". That has stuck in my mind ever since!

How can a Skins fan NOT hate Dallas?

Of course I am

I've been through a few 2nd favorite teams in my lifetime. The old Browns, the Oilers/Titans. All for a reason.

But you spend 6 years in the NY/CT area and you get immersed in Giants/Pats/Jets news. I kind of embraced the Jets. And it's stuck with me

But the gap between the Redskins and Jets is HUGE for me

Re: Skins/Giants post game thread

I dislike all of the other 31 teams except when they play the Cowboys.

I don't understand why you'd share your love.

Question for Smootsmack: Why did the Redskins let Horton go? Is he in game shape and/or what's he doing these days? I'm asking you as you always have the inside scoop and I think that (unless he really effed up) would be a great addition in the back field.

Thanks in advance.

I was going to say - lol - i have that cheating girlfriend feeling! Lmao.
When i hit quote on my phone ( i dont know lately my phone has been crapping out alittle on this site) i see this whole other thing about Dallas!!!!!
However - i hate the Giants much more than Dallas. When I was a kid - like Danny White era i hated the Cowboys with a passion. Not so much anymore.

Re: Skins/Giants post game thread

He never really improved past that "lucky" 3 TO game he had back in 2008 against the Saints. Not part of the current regime so they didn't really feel any obligation to him. He's still tight with a lot of the guys here and think he works out frequently with them. But no one's really knocking down his door. They did take a quick peek at Kareem Moore earlier this year, but he's got knee issues

I agree that Hortons frosh year was lucky and a fluke. Always knew it - even than. He just always sort of happened to be in the vicinity of every errant ball. Almost like if the qb had thrown a good ball he was way out of position. Lol. That all being said - hes younger and jas to be quicker than doo doo? Not even gonna give him a look?
