| He's obviously a good coach, he won two SBs. Maybe hes just not right for Washington? Who knows but what is a fact is this team hasn't gotten better in the win column since he's been here

| Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired? Shanahan: 'Now we get a chance to evaluate players' | CSN Washington Have to say I'm extremely disappointed in Mike saying what he did at the presser. Basically throwing in the towel on the season. That's a sure fire way to lose the players. Realistically we know he's speaking the truth, but that needs to be said once you are mathematically out of the playoffs.

| Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired? I agree, was disappointed the coach is throwing the towel in with almost half the season left. I realize he was upset. It is highly improbable we can fix the major problems, but if RG3 explodes, Garcon & Merriweather make us better -- there's a chance, a small chance, we could run the table. I just don't think the coach should be saying it's impossible, he's the leader. |

This indicates that the talent isn't as good as it should be, and the coaches DO NOT ADJUST. The arrogance not to adjust is a failing of the entire staff. The lack of an ability to overcome scheme is a talent issue, the lack of flexibility is a function of the coaches. On both accounts Shanahan is the problem. What reasonable coach will stick to his 20 play script well into the second quarter, because it takes that long to run 20 palys? If a team is 3 and out 3 times (see Rams game) it's time to throw the script away! | |
