| Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired? There's probably more morons here than non-morons. (I'm one too) I understand the anxiety though. I just don't think anyone could do better with what we have right now.

| Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired? Yes. According to the guide of overreacting, we are currently entering the cycle where win or lose we need to be debating whether to fire our head coach on the spot for not turning this team into an elite competitor by the third year of his regime. Once this average season plays out it will reach a fevered pitch, where it will continue until he gets fired and then the cycle starts over. Wash, rinse, repeat. /yes I'm on the moron brigade. |

| Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired? Funny, during the offseason most of the complaints are "we need continuity, don't fire the coach every couple of years". Then RGIII gives us hope because he's the truth so we automatically think we're bonafide contenders. Next reality hits when we face a team who is clearly superior, and on their home turf where they have an actual advantage. Now we need to blow the entire thing up and start over again because the coaching staff/front office can't get it done. Does anyone remember the team this staff inherited from Vin-Zorn-ity? Come on man, this isn't an overnight fix...it's a process that requires patience. We're a season of development for our young guys and at least an offseason away from playoff contention. Shanny clearly understands this (thus the 5 year plan). For those who think his drafts haven't been productive, I ask you to compare his draft results to the 15 years previous to him.

Can't just take the results of one game and draw sweeping conclusions from it. Yes they had a bad day, but at this point I'll chalk it up to being a fluke. Even Moss who was being talked up by some as being our best WR had a crappy day. | |
