| Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized? I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the idea of giving a guy a five year contract, swearing to be patient knowing the job may take five years, and then wanting to fire him halfway thru his contract because the job isn't done yet. |

| Sorry. The game was rather a bore. Sure, a couple of long passes... but, really, who would enjoy play calling like that?

| Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized? Personally I want to see progress at the midway point - otherwise I want to cut my losses and start fresh while my prize posession - RG-3 is still a spring chicken. Maybe not your take on the situation but its not mind boggling that the 5 win seasons are making people wonder if it was a good hire is it? This all however is a discussion for another thread. This thread is about how we are going to honor Mike for that friggin big win today against the birds! We manage a win on turkey day and couple that with a Gints loss to the Packers and the Redskins are playing for the division lead on MNF against the Giants! - AWESOME

| Can we re-open the phoenix? This one kind of fizzled out.

| Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized? This is thread of the year.. Did you see his post game speech? I mean, people say he doesn't have an impact in the locker room just show their bleeding ignorance. He is a motivator..

| Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized? I really wanted to bump the "Should Mike be fired thread" but it's locked. Would of loved to re-live all those glorious opinions from the torch lighters who now are the same people rocking Mike Shanahan T-shirts

| Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized? Dare I say Shanahan could get some coach of the year consideration if we win out and take the east. |
