| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers? Should We Claim Him? Other lesser teams have priority, say the Cowboys put a claim due to no Lee or Carter and the skins beating them. They get him, right? He'll be a hot commodity if he's cut.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? Yes. Upside is high. Deal is probably friendly and we could cut him after the season with no hit if he tanks. He was really very good as a 3-4 ilb in college. He should get one more shot in NOT Oakland. |

| I say yes. He is young and it sounds like he will be thrilled to play somewhere else - looking to prove something. Everyone deserves a second chance and ilb is an area of need. Cant believe some other teams wont be looking to give him the same second chance though.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? You'd have to know why a top first round pick was being cut in the middle of the season 2 years after he was drafted. From what I've been reading, his play has been reduced due to poor play and bad conditioning. I'm sure many teams will put in a claim for him on waivers. Hell, even Babin had 10 teams put in a claim.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? In this case I'd say yes. He's young, very talented, and the Raiders usually don't know what they're doing. Maybe being around Fletch could be the best thing that's ever happened to him.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? I didn't know Yolanda Mcdale so here: Rolando McClain, MLB for the Oakland Raiders at NFL.com Big kid!! I think if we're staying in the 3-4 bring him in, because Fletcher will mentor him like he mentored Riley and they'll be our starters (the three will rotate next two years and then McClain and Riley will go full time when London retires at 39!!). I don't see Zoe or Robinson ever getting to that level.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? YES! He isn't an immediate need like safety, CB, RT, but he is a need. Especially when looking at the future, and seeing London is clearly showing more age this year than other years. He was a BEAST 3-4 ILB in college. You have to wonder why they're cutting him. I think it may have to do with his trouble with the law. For those that don't know or remember, he was the guy who took a rather 'happy' photo when he was being arrested... ![]() As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm sure the Chiefs will pick him up, they're the worst team in the NFL (first dibs at everyone), they have no ILB opposite Derrick Johnson, and its the same division opponent so they have a chance at using him against his old team. But damn, I would get Rolando and cut Kehl in a heart beat.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? Big difference between college and pro. Some guys can make the adjustment and some can't. McClain has never been able to make that adjustment. No thanks. |

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? From what everyone is saying, it seems like he would be a great add. At the same time, if that is true, I slipping past the teams ahead of us on the waiver wire.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? Unless his attitude totally sucks he'd be a great addition. But yeah, our chances of actually getting him are pretty slim.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? I would actually offer the Raiders a 7th round pick for the guy since he will not get to us in waivers. Only 23 years old and miscast in 43 defense. Could be worth the risk.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? It would be a major miracle if we get a chance to claim him, there will be a waiting list for Rolando.

| Re: Rolando McClain About to Get His Walking Papers. Should We Claim Him? I was thinking the same thing. Its a seventh rounder. Hell had we of spent a seventh on Vontaze Burfict in this draft we would have had londons replacement there, guy is a beast right now for Cincy.
