Had we cut him or was he still on the roster and was traded?

We cut him

They signed him to a reserve-futures contract, kind of like we did today with Devin Holland

How does that work for playoff teams exactly? Like if we had an injury in the safety position Sunday and won, could we elevate Holland to the 53? Or is he just eligible for play next year?

I don't believe he's eligible

Not to take the focus away from wild-card weekend, but according to ESPN Jerry Brown's autopsy showed he was sober. I just don't get it. I don't want to criticize a dead man and all, but why would you ride shotgun if you were sober and your friend was drunk? And not just drunk, but it sounds like he was hammered.

Good point. That's really strange.

A lot of times drunk people are insistent that they are "fine to drive" and in fact do so. I've had a friend that did exactly that back in the day and wouldn't be surprised if this were the case as well.

Most are picking Seattle to win this game. I forgot we just beat them last year in Seattle lol. But of course both teams are way different now

Went to the Seattle game last year. The team fought hard, even though the season was already toast, and I remember wondering if there's still beef over playoff losses 2005/2007. Extra motivation among our guys vs Seattle?

I don't think so, really other than a few guys this team is completely different then 2007. I just think we r so hungry to win and Griffin is starving to be the best, he still has that chip on his shoulder of not being taken number 1 IMO.

I guess this shows you don't have to be drunk to make a bad decision.

2005 and 2007 are too long ago for either team to really care about, but they both apparently haven't forgotten about this
