| 3 Non-Star Players We Need To Step Up In 2013 I should preface this by defining who I define as non-star players. That list includes: Griff, Morris, Trent, Monty, Garcon, Fletcher, Rak, Kerrigan, etc. The players I'm looking for here are guys that could seriously help the team by continuing to develop or showing improvement next season. My 3: Josh Morgan- felt we spent a little more than I would have liked in FA, and while he certainly had a lot of receptions, I'd like to see him targeted more next year, especially in the end zone. Perry Riley- given the uncertainty regarding Fletch's future, and the likelihood that we will need to draft a quality replacement in the come years, it would be nice to see more steps forward next year so we aren't hunting for two ILB's. Personally thought he played well yesterday. Josh Wilson- Was great in 2011, certainly showed less in 2012. If we plan on cutting DeAngelo, my guess is that we draft a CB early (I really like Poyer) and look at a cheaper option in FA. He really needs to step up on a secondary unit that needs much improvement. |

| Re: 3 Non-Star Players We Need To Step Up In 2013 Hankerson needs to stop dropping the ball at the worst times. Always seems to be drive-killing or in the end zone. Meriweather needs to find a way to get on the field. His impact was huge for that one game he played. Crawford needs to be our #1 return man and it would be great to see him step up his CB play too, maybe to be a possible starter in the future.

| Re: 3 Non-Star Players We Need To Step Up In 2013 So your examples of non-star players are guys like Griff and Morris? I thought by non-star you meant a guy who starts, but could be performing better. Like a Tyler Polumbus for example. As far as your list goes, maybe we already have Fletcher's replacement on the roster. I liked what I saw out of Keenan Robinson earlier this year before he got hurt. |

| Re: 3 Non-Star Players We Need To Step Up In 2013 Speaking of non stars - wtf is up with Ryan Kerrigan? He doesnt seem to know who has the ball and moves around like a pregnant albatross.

And Keenan Robinson was playing inside this year, I do believe. I can't verify that though, so I might be wrong. As far as guys that need to step up, I'd put Robinson on this list if Fletcher retires. My single request for this offseason is that Madieu Williams retire, or get released. He shouldn't be playing any more. | |

| Re: 3 Non-Star Players We Need To Step Up In 2013 Id go with 1. Helu - hasnt justified the move up to get him. Has the hands and speed to be that 3rd down/change of pace back. 2. Hankerson - Shows flashes, but still needs to the play the game faster. 3. Wilson - Contract year and was a disappointment most of this year. Gave up huge plays.

| Re: 3 Non-Star Players We Need To Step Up In 2013 I'm not as down on Wilson or even Hall as most of you seem to be. Wilson made some huge plays for us this year. Those TDs given up...would they have been TDs with any start-quality safeties behind the CBs? I blame the lack of safeties on most of the big plays we gave us this season. Hall played incredible down the stretch for us. If he seal up the holes in the safety positions, I think Hall and Wilson are a more-than-adequate CB tandem. Doesn't mean we should ignore the position for upgrades if we can get a top CB in the draft (unlikely without early-round picks) or FA though, but I'd rather address safety and RT before we make any decisions on Hall or Wilson.
