There is also a reason he was the game 1 backup and not Rexy. There's also a reason that when all three were active (for only one game) Cousins was listed as the backup. We don't know what Cousins upside is, and comparisons to Brady are unrealistic at this point, but he did show some good things. I am excited that we go into next season, even with RGIII hobbled, with what looks to be a solid qb setup. That's simply unheard of as a Redskins fan.

| Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months I dont really understand your response to donofriso. But this may be an oppertunity for KC to become a Matt Cassell, in the sense we can trade him after he plays well for an exteneded time. Although KC is still very very unproven, this is a huge oppertunity for him and Kyle Shanahan.

I went on a rant about this in the rant thread, but it seems everyone is making a huge deal of the skins handling of RGIII, while instead praising those players/teams for doing the same thing.

| Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months Yeah not sure how anyone can make any grand conclusions about him with 1 start under his belt. A start that he shined in no less. Let's wait and see. |

Right now Cousins ability to be a legit starter is just as much in question as RGIII coming back to being a what we saw earlier in the year from him. you may very well never see that kind of speed out of him ever again. I hate to say and it pains me but it is a legit concern. Out of the 3 rookies Wilson, RG, and Luck. RIGHT NOW I take the health Wilson or Luck over a question mark RGIII.

But just a month ago you were saying you'd take Griffin over Wilson and the picks

Of course KC has potential, very good potential IMO. My post was more in response to donofriose saying he's a good backup but an average starter. We don't know that yet.

| Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months I'll agree with that. we don't know yet. I rephrase what I say and will say I predict he will be an average starter, and once teams have more tape on him he will be a backup quarterback for the rest of his career. But it is a prediction. Time will tell. It came off as if I was saying it was a fact already, but it is more of a prediction. |

| Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months I also think comparing any quarterback to Manning or Brady is foolish. Their career accomplishments are incredible and saying Cousins could be a 3 time super bowl champion with 5 superbowl appearances, 2 time MVP, and the best winning percentage ever seems like one of the most foolish players to compare anyone to, even a healthy RG3. |
